$10 in 4x4 is a pretty high bar, actually. I'm not sure I'd keep any of them (though I think we might be the industry low projection on Ragans)...

Good morning Ray, Do you think Wyatt Langford makes the club out of Spring training? I know Texas has a need at DH and he it heating up at the plate.

It does seem like he has the inside track to the DH gig, and the new prospect promotion rules do incentivize TEX to keep him on the OD roster as opposed to sending him down for service-time reasons. If he stays hot, I think it's there for the taking...

Hey Ray, long time sub. Been a member since HQ was posting ads in the fantasy baseball index. With the recent changes to the site, any tips on reading the new player links? Not seeing the familiar numbers im used to has me spooked!

The look-and-feel is definitely different, but the numbers should be familiar. I actually spent a chunk of time last week lilterally going tab-by-tab through PLink and making sure the column ordering, number of decimals in the various metrics, etc, matches exactly with the old site PLink. Once your eye adjusts, hopefully you'll get back to the comfort level you had on the old site. That's our goal, at least... but it's going to take some time for everyone.

Where are you setting the O/U on ABs for Junior Caminero this year?  In a 12-Team,  AL-Only Roto League, at what price is he a "Keeper"?  HQ has him at ~150 ABs, but I think it will much more likely be 300-400.

Random follow up -- is the RBI projection on Langford skewed?  I look at his HRs to RBI and the RBI seem awfully low, particularly when I look at others with similar ABs (Is Ez. Duran really knocking in more than him w/ half the projected HR in similar ABs?  W. Brennan?  L. Butler, Florial?)

We're actually up to 252 AB currently, but if you look at the Rays depth chart, you can see why we're hedging: even without Franco, TAM has a lot of options... and we know they're willing to use them. Still, injuries (looking at you, BLowe) will offer clarity sooner or later.

Hi Ray,
Need an OF in my AL-only Scoresheet team.  At the moment I have Springer and Ward, so should I be thinking about a CF-type?  Please rank these OFs considering my situation:
Kwan, Mullins, McCormick, Santander.
Thank you.

I do prefer to have a true-CF type in Scoresheet, and the only one on this list who qualifies is Mullins at 2.19. Back of envelope math, that gap between 2.19 and Chas' 2.13 is probably enough to wipe out the proj OPS difference between them. Maybe there's more of a Mullins rebound there than we're projecting... platooning could help his rates.

Rank these prospects for an AL OBP - Justin Henry Malloy, Colt Emerson, Sam Basallo, Lazaro Montes, Xavier Isaac, Kyle Teel,

Again, prospects not my thing, but there were some absolute rave reviews of Basallo at First Pitch Florida this weekend.

Did Justin Turner overachieve big time last year? He had a solid year and everyone seems down on him in 2024. It sounds like he'll get to DH everyday but also pick up some positional flexibility too

At this point I think he's just a "professional hitter". He was pretty banged up by the end of last year in Boston, though they did some crazy things like play him at 2B in the second half, so maybe Toronto will just put him at DH and leave him there. But he's not young, he tends to get dinged up, and I worry a bit about the turf in Rogers.

Is Gavin Williams more of the overachiever from the first few months after callup last year or the guy who was striking out double digit batters in back to back games?

The thing about pitchers these days is that they're always evolving/reinventing/tweaking. He's neither of those extremes. Let's see if he can bottle that good stuff from last year. I really trust the Guardians and the way they handle pitching, so that's a point in his favor.

When do you expect Kershaw to realistically pitch this season?

In LA? August.

OK, time to wrap for this week... thanks for all the good questions! Brent will be back next week for your deep prospect questions, sorry I don't have much to add on those! Happy March Madness, baseball-style!
