Woo starts in the minors to manage his workload but comes up as soon as there's an injury. Hancock as well.

The M's and Cardinals have long been linked as potential trade partners, but Minnesota seems like a team that'll be in need of some controllable starting pitching this offseason. Wonder if a guy like Jorge Polanco would be a plausible target to address their 2B issues the past few years?
Darragh McDonald

I don't know if Minnesota strictly needs starting pitching. They've still got Lopez, Ober, Ryan, Paddack, Varland. But you're right than Polanco might be expendable with the rise of Julien and Lewis.
That's a pretty good fit that I should have mentioned in the outlook.

What value can Robbie Ray provide in 2024 and 2025?
Darragh McDonald
5:06
Ray should be back around the All-Star break next year, but he has an opt-out at the end of next year.

So, it's a double-edged sword for Seattle next year. If he comes back and is dominant, that's great, but it could mean he's gone.

Does Evan white have any value?
Darragh McDonald

Negative value at this point, unfortunately.

I'm glad! I'm sure a couple of people thought I lost my mind, but some of y'all know.

What do you think about Tim Anderson & Ahmed Rosario as candidates for one-year, show-me, bounceback deals to play 2B?
Darragh McDonald
5:09
I guess. I hope the M's can do better though.

Unfortunately, I have to wrap it up. I know it was a rough finish but I think I like the team a lot better than many of you. Should be another good squad next year as well!

For anyone who doesn't already know, watch the Dorktown History of the Mariners. Great stuff.
Have a great weekend and stay tuned for more of these chats in the weeks to come!
