Tough. Scott, Early, Arrighetti and Henderson. Feel like Scott and Henderson are close in skills, but don't 100% like how MIL has used Henderson over past two seasons. So that raises the 2026 risk in my mind.

Another deep league redraft question: Conforto is on fire now.  Seems to be taking more ABs and his Statcast page is on fire.  Is this sustainable in your opinion?
Brent Hershey
12:43
No, I don't - and also not in love with his PT prospects. Could prove me wrong, but feel more like this was a hot week
Who knows?
12:46
Appreciate all you do here.  AL-Only, 4x4, ROS.

SP is rough and injuries are piling up.  What are your expectations for M. Abel, T. Melton, and Z. Matthews? How would you rank them and prioritize them as pickups?  Thanks.
Brent Hershey
12:46
Thanks Who!

I'd rank them Melton, Abel, Matthews. A bit dubious of Abel's situation - rest didn't fix it, setback and injection, etc. But what he showed before that is still a possibility. Melton has some outlier characteristics that could slot well into DET's plans. Matthews has been up and down at Triple-A. Def had more hope for him in 2026.

Hi Brent,
Thanks for taking my question. NFBC 15-team 5x5. With Eugenio Perez on IL, I’ve been cycling through Vientos, Norby, House and Horwitz (at CI) without much success. Which of these 4 do you suggest I drop when Perez is ready to play?
Brent Hershey
12:48
Likely Vientos - though Horwitz would be a consideration, too. Platooner, but not a ton of roto juice. But in a 15-teamer, passable. A lot will probably depend on Vientos's recent production once you have to make that decision
Oohh My arm, My arm.
12:49
4x4 Roto.  Rank 'em ROS:
SP:  M. Burroughs, J. Cantillo, T. Melton, C. Prielipp

RP:  G. Cleavinger, M. Strahm
Brent Hershey
12:49
SP: In this same order. Melton/Cantillo could flip, though. Burrows easy #1; Prielipp #4

RP: Cleavinger, b/c still a scenario where Tampa mixes it up some. Feel like that's less likely in KC with their situation. Tough call

Brandon Marsh or Sam Antonocci in a 12 team mixed h2h ?
Brent Hershey
12:50
Marsh. Track record

12:51
Hey Brent, thanks for taking my question. It looks like Valdez DET is coming off suspension and starting Wed at the Mets. I have to choose this week between him and Schultz CWS, who pitches the same day vs the Royals. Who to keep and who to drop? Thanks.
Brent Hershey
12:51
Schultz, I think, but I fully admit the Framber antics may be coloring my analysis
Steve
12:52
Please rank Sheehan, Hancock and Tolle ROS.
Brent Hershey
12:52
Hancock, Tolle, Sheehan - in terms of skills plus team context (how integral those SPs are to the team ROS)
Dansby Swanson
12:53
According to my player page, I am returning $18 in 5x5 and projected for the same ROS.  Am I a top 12 SS ROS in 15 team leagues?  Do you see me as the same old sneaky consistent deep league option?
Brent Hershey
12:53
Probably not Top 12, but yes to #2. Consistent deep-leaguer. Now on a great offense, so counting stats even at the bottom of the lineup
Lou
12:54
Thanks for the chat, Brent. NL-only, 12-team, dynasty. Jesus Rodriguez is in the free agent pool today. Is a .70 bid on the mark, and do you think he will offer position flexibility at some point (5 games at OF or 3B)? I suspect he is not on many radars yet.
Brent Hershey
12:54
Yes to both. Radars, though, depend on your league. Could be a sneaky pickup.
Ron
12:56
Hi Brent,  in a18T 5x5 redraft, I took a flyer on B. Bello.  His swinging K% was down and the numbers say he a bit lucky in his last start, but its something.  What do you see ROS?
Brent Hershey
12:56
I'm still dubious; need to see it for a stretch before I fully buy in. Though in an 18-teamer, he's probably flyer material, sure. If you roster him now, I'd not anticipate just automatically plugging him in every week, though.
Lou
12:57
Saw the article today on deep league targets and noticed Cole Carrig not mentioned. He's red hot at AAA and offers multi-position flexibility to a Rockies team that always needs more offense. I have him stashed in an NL-only dynasty format. Am I wrong to view him as a contributor soon?
Brent Hershey
12:57
No, I think he's viable. Stephen can't get to every one. New Rockies regime is worth keeping in mind. Good stash for right now.
Jackie Treehorn
12:59
Good morning Brent! Appreciate your time helping out every week.

12 team H2H redraft points league with points skewed towards W's. From this list, who would you drop (if anyone) for Max Meyer and/or Mike Burrows for ROS

Landon Roupp
Kyle Harrison
Peter Lambert
Spencer Arrighetti
Aaron Nola
Tanner Bibee (he just through a gem and is driving me crazy)
Brent Hershey
12:59
I prefer Meyer and Burrows to all. Harrison is likely the closest to that duo for me in a Wins-heavy league, but I'd ride what you have. In a 12, if/when Meyer goes down (just on his track record), you'll have options as good as these, I would think.

Hey Brent,  1) Your thoughts on  B Chandler ROS, is he  rosterable in 12 team redraft in  2026? 2) ROS J Holliday, J Lawlor or J Dominguez (OBP instead of Ave) Thanks !
Brent Hershey
1:01
  1. With a short bench, he might be a cut right now in 12s
  2. Lawlar, under the assumption that they will prioritize his PT upon return.

Hi Brent--I'm in a 15-team mixed holds league. Saves are nice, but set-up guys with good ratios and some holds are also valuable. Looking to replace Ryan Walker. Options are Jer. Estrada, Fairbanks, Megill, Perkins, and Devin Williams. Anyone stand out to you? Thanks.
Brent Hershey
1:02
Fairbanks and Perkins would be my main targets. Estrada likely next
Don Dringus

Who plays SS for the Athletics with Wilson out?
Brent Hershey
1:04
Hernaiz, likely. Still seems too early in the season for De Vries, though that would be the most fun. Muncy would be another option if he beats Wilson back; TBD

Mackenzie Gore was released in my 15 team mix league. I am in some need of starting pitching and wondering how much FAAB to spend on the more acquiring him. I realize he hasn’t been very good yet this season really, but pitchers of his caliber aren’t often available at this point, and at least he’s healthy. I’m thinking he’s worth me spending about 20% of my FAAB budget? What are your thoughts?
Brent Hershey
1:06
Hear ya on his pedigree and upside, but 20% is still too high for me. At that price, you're kinda banking on a level that he really hasn't shown yet. The walks are just killer from my perspective. I'd keep the bids more modest and save $ for later. If you get him cheap, fine. If not, on to next week.

In a 15-team mixed league, are you speculating on Junk or Burrows?
Brent Hershey
1:07
Don't really think about it as speculating for these two guys in 15s. They should both be rostered. I prefer Burrows, but Junk has made some important adjustments. Go for 'em

Are either Tovar or McLain droppable in NL only dynasty at this point? I spent a combined $30 on them in the draft, but they’ve been atrocious. I haven’t activate Vaughn, and those two are really my only droppable pieces right now.
Brent Hershey
1:11
McLain ... no, I'd not drop in a dynasty. Roto juice a couple years ago keeps my hopes up. Tovar ... probably not, b/c of his youth and Coors, BUT ... mentioned this before, in the context of a new front office, they don't have ties to Tovar that the previous FO did. Could he be jettisoned to another club if he continues to struggle? Not crazy. But even if that happens, maybe another voice clicks with him. My inclination would be to hold both.
Brent Hershey

OK, on to lightning round here for another 5 mins or so ...

Jordan Walker looking good in May, with more contact and continued launch angle improvement. Are you more confident in his breakout at this point?
Brent Hershey
1:12
Yes. Not all the way, but more, yes.
