What is your outlook ROS for B. Garrett, Brent?  Can we have an impact in deep leagues?
Brent Hershey
12:52
Yes ... keeping expectations modest, I think this is a great week to pick him up as value should be low. Takes a bit of gumption to roll him for the 2-start, but I have confidence he'll contribute over the next few months.

What to do w Tatis?!  Thx
Brent Hershey
12:53
Play him. A valid question, but nothing about his start makes sense.

I drafted Bichett early but he's doing nothing. Will he turn it around?
Brent Hershey
12:55
He'll be better, yes, but the vibes there are bad and his results have seemed to be come less fantasy-friendly in the past few seasons.

Moises Ballesteros is C eligible in my 12 team mix with OPS instead of BA. I added him off waivers when Rice was banged up. Now that Ballesteros is sharing time against right-handed pitching is he worth rostering?
Brent Hershey
12:56
In a 12, yeah, could be time (for now) to move on. No harm in chasing him again if/when he earns that regular (platoon) PT back.

Hey Brent, thanks for taking my question. For ROS - please rank these pitchers for overall performance: Sasaki LAD, Valdez DET, Brown CHC, and Fuentes ATL. Thanks.
Brent Hershey
12:58
Valdez, Sasaki, Brown, Fuentes

But if you want to play upside only (w/ increased risk), then Sasaki, Fuentes, Brown, Valdez

Super curious about the past few starts Sasaki has reeled off

Hi Brent--15-team mixed points league. How would you rank Burrows, C. Scott, Junk, and Sasaki? I have a bench spot for one of them. Thanks.
Brent Hershey
12:59
Scott, Burrows, Sasaki, Junk. Burrows/Sasaki are close

Hi, Brent!  It's time for America's favorite game show, Start, Bench, or Cut!  In a 15-team mixed 5x5, I have Cade Cavalli, Zebby Matthews, and Bryce Miller.  Cavalli has the best matchup score, Zebby has the best last game, and Miller has the best CDG value.  (Zebby has the worst CDG because of a low IP projection, as though he's expected to head back to St. Paul next month.)  Who should I start, who should I bench, and who should I cut?  Thanks!
Brent Hershey

Start Cavalli, Bench Matthews, Cut Miller

That performance from Sasaki yesterday really stands out IMO. I think he has broken into possible Tier 2 SP discussion, SSS, but zero walks, 8 K’s…. Thoughts?
Brent Hershey
1:02
Yes, just a few more words ... Given the pedigree and salary here, definitely interested. Needed to string a few good starts together, and he has. Not going crazy just yet, but game log shows walks are under control, which was a sticking point.

Just a few more ...

Is it time to drop Jack Flaherty in 12 team leagues?

Yes

Hold or drop Springer in 12 team leagues?

hi Brent, based on his performance, pedigree and how Pittsburgh management have managed the entrance of Jones and Skenes; when do you expect Seth Hernandez to make his mlb debut at the earliest? Is mid 2027 realistic?
Brent Hershey

Still hold to 2028 for me

Do you think ivan herrera is going to put up enough counting stats ROS to be viable in 12 teamers?
Brent Hershey

From CA position, yes

Vest is off IL is he worth gamble to pass Jansen and keep. Decision time… Sasaki, Sheehan, Warren, Burns, Schlitler, B. Ashcraft, Ryne Nelson, Prielipp are my SP, Have Duran and Palencia as closers. Could pick up up points in saves, and am at top of Wins. Cut Vest, or a SO and who?  Ride the SP for now since SP is so short? That’s the way I am leaning, thoughts? Thanks for opportunity.
Brent Hershey

I'd be inclined to cut Nelson, but also not convinced Vest is a great gamble right now

Brent, thanks for the chat.  Thoughts on what the Lauer trade means for River Ryan and his timetable for the Dodgers rotation?  Too soon to consider stashing in a 10 team H2H mixed?
Brent Hershey
1:06
Yes, too soon in a 10

In a 15-team NL-Al points league. We can keep 7 players. A couple of impatient owners in my league have dropped Matt McLain and Dalton Rushing. I'd probably pick one of them up more to hold than to rely on this year. Who's the better choice? Thanks.
Brent Hershey

Rushing

Hi Brent. Adapting the HQ favorite format for quick hitters on some early breakouts / disappointments... do you think these are more fact or fluke: (1) Bazzana's early SB frenzy, (2) Bleday's hitting barrage, (3) Jung's resurgence, (4) Busch's power outage, and (5) Burger's abysmal start at the plate? Thanks!
Brent Hershey

1) Fact
2) Fact
3) Fact
4) Fluke
5) Fact -- though BA is terrible, power is not. Is what it is.

12 team points leagues H2H redraft. Is Nola drop able for upside of Sasaki
Brent Hershey

Yeah, could see that

Thanks again got another one. 8 team NL only, standard pitching categories. Worth hanging onto Dollander? Thinking he would only get at most another 12 starts and you only would start away from Coors? It is a dynasty league tho.
