I was so high at seasons start, Ray. I have Bichette, PCA, Soderstrom & Perdomo & J Holliday. Am I doomed if there is recovery, which ones do you feel are most likely to find last year's success?
Ray Murphy
3:28
I don't think any get back to last year's levels, though all should get somewhat better.

hi ray, al only need starter- can you rank urena,Kolek, miles, ginn and teng.  Minimizing risk would be good.   Thank you.
Ray Murphy

This list and "minimize risk" do not go together. I'd probably try Ginn from this group.

Hi Ray. What better way to kick off MDW... Please rank your top 3 of these 5 for 5x5 OBP for all-around production, with a bonus for expected SB contributions: Bazzana, Antonacci, Gelof, McLain, Keaschall
Ray Murphy

Gelof looks terrific and has done it before, he jumps to top of this list for me. Bazzana for the SB bias, too.

Disappointing follow up from Perdomo. While it was natural to expect the power to regress, counting stats are way off across the board. Do you expect him to improve or should I be seeking out a contingency plan at SS?

Go to Playerlink, click on Monthly splits, compare 1H 2026 to both halves of last year. It's not THAT bad, esp compared to 1H 2025. xBA is holding up. Power was never a strength, but still time to get hot. He's not going to match last year, but he should pick it up.

Hi! Love your analysis! 12-tm H2H category w HD+S — regardless of position, short-term/ROS impact: Bleday, Steer, Marsee, Bohm? Better RP/SP (Ks & ratios): G Taylor, Drohan, Barlow? Thanks!
Ray Murphy
3:40
I've always liked Bleday, he's hot and winning a job and the ball's about to start to fly in Cincy summer heat. I'd ride him. Taylor's been awesome of late. Those are my faves here.

Schanuel's bat speed has increased annually since he came up (68.1 mph in '26) and with his size 6-2 220 and contact % you'ld think he could easily hit 20+ HR's.  What do you think is holding back his power?
Ray Murphy
3:41
QBaB tells the story here. He swings hard, but neither hits the ball that hard nor in the air often enough. That kills the power.

Roto 16 team mixed Roto...  Who do you like ROS between Crews and Schneemann.  Crews may be the former star prodigy but Schneemann is getting done and has started leading off.  Thoughts?
Ray Murphy
3:42
Schneeman's a nice utility piece, but if Crews clicks he can be a lot more than that. I'd chase the upside.

Deep only league - would you drop Keider M or Burke for Urena and/or D Anderson?
Ray Murphy
3:44
No interest in Urena. Wouldn't drop Burke. If you want to swap Keider for Anderson, that doesn't bother me.

Do you see Imai being usable soon-ish?
Ray Murphy
3:45
No, but I wasn't that interested over the winter, either. I'd write this off as an adjustment year.

Is it a coincidence that the Astros stopped scoring runs right after Correa went down?
Ray Murphy
3:47
You look at their recent lineups and it's a miracle they've scored at all. Problems there run way deeper than Correa.

Manzardo finally got hot and is sitting again today vs a righty?
Ray Murphy
3:49
Well, to be fair, it was last night that he sat against a righty. Tonight they're facing a lefty in Sanchez. Hopefully he's back in there tomorrow.

OK, think I'll wrap it up here and let you all get started on your long weekend. Enjoy the baseball, the BBQ, and whatever else you have planned....
