Is my sum better than the individual parts? 4x4 15t (no K’s). My relievers are: Alvarado, Brash, Duran, Shelby Miller, and Uribe. Sitting in middle rank for saves so far. What pitcher would you drop if I needed another SP?

Do you have any interest in Jacob Misiorowski, Ben Casparius, and Gunnar Hoglund? If so, which do you like better in the short and long-term?

Also, I've been "stuck" with Carlos Estevez (unable to trade) and 9 Saves later, I guess it could be worse? Could I luck out with a lucky Estevez season?

A) Yes. Short term: Casparius. Long-term: Misiorowski (though rp risk is real; Hogund 2nd when looking long-term)

Brent .. what are your early impressions of Chandler Simpson?? I think I like him more than Xavier Edwards, as it seems like TB's committed to giving him long run at leadoff.

Curious to know what you think!!

Simpson: almost best case scenario so far ... playing a lot, running, doesn't seem overmatched. At this point, yes, prefer him to Edwards

If you've got room to stash, Harrison is the highest upside play for me ... think it's still poss he becomes an impact starter. Near-term saves, I think I'm still going Miller due to lack of other options in ARI. Several of those hits yesterday were bleeders, too.

Three pitchers coming off my IL  (Walker Buehler, Zach Efflin, Ranger Suarez)  and two underperforms (Max Meyer, Sandy Alcantara), Which two should I keep ?  Please rank their keeper worthiness.  Thank You!

Meyer stays for sure. If it's only keeper/long term, I think Alacantara will turn it around. If you need more production right now, Ranger or Eflin are probably slightly better bets.

Jake Burger was sent down to Round Rock  on Friday to "reset" but he hasn't played yet played in a game.  Any idea what is happening there.  Is he worth holding and occupying an active spot on my roster?   Thank You

Straight guess, but probably doing extensive non-game work (BP tweaks, etc). Active spot roster hold totally depends on size of league. 15tm - prob (again, this is without a reserve list); but smaller than that, I'd move on. Think he gets it back, and won't be down long, but taking a zero is a killer.

Despite the injuries, the Dodgers seem in no hurry to get Ohtani on the mound.  Is there a chance he won't pitch at all this year or, if he does, is the 81 IP HQ projects too optimistic?

Always that chance ... but with the continued rate of injured LA SP, I think they'll need him at some point. Agree that they def are slow-playing. him, but I still think he could get to 81 IP. We'll def keep an eye on that going forward, though.

Hi Brent. Gavin Williams was dropped in my 12-team mixed league. What do you expect from Williams ROS — it’s been pretty bleak so far except for the strikeouts. Should I drop Shelby Miller to pick him up?

Would prob keep Miller. Williams seems like a on-the-cusper in a 12t. So much like the talent/stuff, but is often wrecked by inefficiency

Good morning, Brent.  File this under “yes, I know it’s early and he’ll be fine but…”, is there any reason to worry about Jackson Chourio’s very poor K/BB ratio?  I know he does so much, but only 2 BBs gives me much pause…has he changed his approach?
