As far as Butler goes, freshman Carney already gives them good minutes and is a second ball handler. The kid i think that is going largely unnoticed a freshman that plays inside. He plays extremely hard. He tried to dunk it against NA with a guy on him on a feed in the half court offense and almost threw down a two hander. I think Butler will continue to get better the longer this season goes because of youth. Morton is fantastic, but he seems a little more reckless with the ball this year - the one handed passes don't always go to the right team. Have you noticed this? Perhaps it is more of a product of the load he has to carry on this year's team, but not sure last year's supporting cast was any better.

The freshman, you might be talking about Charles Kreinbucher. Yes, a lot of potential. I think the unsung hero of that team might be Patten. As for Morton, yes he turns the ball over some. But I'll deal with that when you consider everything else he does.

What do u think of the CV Boys team - impressive with Coach Tim at the helm - do they have a shot in 5a

Ahhhh, coach Tim is now the girls coach. Brandon Sensor is the boys coach. They are good. Do they have enough to win WPIAL 5A? I doubt it.

Mars graduated a high major Div 1 player in Rob Carmody and yet they seem to have a better team this year. Is their balance that good that it makes them tougher to defend 3 players who can score as opposed to 1 scoring the majority of the points last year ? I read that Ambridge employed a triangle and two against Fusco & Recchia but they both still scored well. You seen them in person I asuse

Yes, I have seen Mars. Yes, they have more balanced scoring. Doesn't mean they are better than last year. Just different. Remember, Recchia scored a good amount last year also. Coach Carmody said a big difference in team this year is they also are getting scoring from a fifth person, which they didn't last year. Sometimes it's the freshman Schlegel.
