How do you think Mekhi Reynolds played last night against the port?

Pretty good. Scored 25 and made five 3's. I'd say that's pretty good. Was hot early on. I thought he forced it some in the second and maybe a little in the third. But then got it back together.

I saw Lincoln Park/Erie and thought it was a truly awful game...constant cherry picking on both sides.  I wasn't at all impressed with LP, but perhaps the 3A teams they'll play in the WPIAL will be easier matchups.   What do you think of LP's chances to wint  the WPIAL and States?

Lincoln Park has excellent chance at winning WPIAL. But Aliquippa, North Catholic, Seton are all good. I think those four might be pretty even.

In watching and officiating high school games in our area, I have noticed an increase in technical fouls on coaches and players and several instances where fans have been removed from gyms for obnoxious behavior toward officials.  Wondering if you are seeing the same in watching WPIAL games?

I am not seeing any increase. But I'm all for tossing more fans, especially some parents. And I will say this. I think I've noticed coaches complaining so much more about officials calls. I won't say who but I saw it in the first round at a few places. It's OK for coaches to complain about official calls sometimes. Lord knows I do even at junior high level. But man, when it's about one in every three calls, it gets annoying. Thankfully, I saw one official in a game last night turn to a bench and say, "you know you guys have complained on just about every call."

Nesannock is pretty good. I haven't seen them but they have proven some things. I'll still take Quips.

Thanks for the article on Blaufield and Clifford. I've enjoyed seeing both play...always a good product on the floor at Allerdice.   Are you surprised that one will be a D1 and the other a D2 (assuming that's what the Rock is) player?  Blaufield does have a sweet stroke, but  wondering if that is the only differentiator?

No I am not surprised at all. Jackson has nice size and can shoot better. A 6-4 kid who can shoot, Division I colleges will take a kid like that.
