Ahhh, Matt Humbert has beaten TJ before. Doesn't mean he will this week, but don't act like Belle Vernon hasn't beaten TJ before.

Coach Sarandrea was a gem, Mike.  You just had to know how to take him.  The general public believes that coaches and officials have an adversarial relationship.  Definitely not true.  Officials have to develop the skill of managing people.  That's what separates the elite officials from the good officials.  The notorious animated coaches, Coach Render, Coach Hamilton, Coach Palko...many others...all great guys and intense coaches.  Their relationships with the officials were strong.

Hold on. Coach Render was indeed a gem, but he had a "strong" relationship with officials? Are we talking about the same Jim Render?

What's your take on Wash High this year?  Steel Valley with a big win this past weekend, are they getting it together?

Maybe not a great year for Wash High. As for Steel Valley, will the real Ironmen please stand up? They get blown out in a few games, but yet beat Wash High and Waynesburg handily when both were ranked.
