It was delayed by the big surge of news (Stroman trade, Bichette promotion, Rays/Indians deal) earlier tonight, plus a lot of other news items to catch up on.

Bo Bichette promoted today.  Tatis-type breakout or Vladdy-type ramp-up?

He hadn't totally been on fire in Triple-A, so my guess is ramp-up like Vlad or Biggio.

Then again, the Jays are overdue for something to go majorly right this season.  Maybe Bichette will be one of these guys who's great from day one

Like I said earlier, the Angels have spent the last few years building their farm system back up from scratch.  Dealing for Thor would take a big chunk out of that system right away.

And since you mentioned Ohtani, since he won't be pitching until 2020, maybe it's wiser for the Angels to wait until the offseason to make their pitching adds

With the injuries to Markakis & Swanson, do the Braves trade for offense (Castellanos?) or bullpen help? Or both? Which prospects are most likely to be dealt?

Allegedly the top four of Pache/Anderson/Wright/Waters are next to untouchable.  But nobody is really untouchable if the right offer comes along.

I would tend to think that pitching is still the bigger need, but man, losing Markakis for so long is a real blow.  (Swanson too, though his injury doesn't seem too serious.)

Put it this way, I'd be shocked if Milwaukee dealt Moustakas.  I suspect this was nothing more than a front office discussing all of its options, and my guess is the "hey, should we deal Moose?" talk was shut down pretty quickly
