Mark P
10:10
My guess is still Cleveland
Rays
10:11
Any chance the Pirates send us Marte after we've robbed them blind? Maybe a package centered on Adames, Honeywell and Banda?
Mark P
10:12
I guess a new GM wouldn't be as gunshy about trading with Tampa as Huntington, but that particular offer wouldn't be nearly enough.
Sam
10:12
Do you think there is any way Detroit can trade Miggy
Mark P
10:13
I highly doubt it.  That might be the single most immovable contract in baseball.
Ms fan
10:13
Will Kyle Seager be moved this off-season?
Mark P
10:14
Nope.  Seager's contract makes it virtually impossible that he'll be dealt, since his $15MM option for 2022 becomes fully guaranteed in the event of a trade
Jon
10:15
Favorite ballpark you have been to? Favorite ballpark food?
Mark P
10:16
Big fan of PNC Park, Wrigley, T-Mobile Park in Seattle
My ballpark eating choices are pretty normal, so I'll stretch the question and highly recommend the pork chops at Harry Caray's restaurant in Chicago.  (We ate there after attending a Cubs game, so it counts?)
Johnson B
10:17
Your thoughts on Sam Dyson of Twins to opt for free agency,  And Stephen Strasbourg with Twins
Mark P
10:17
Dyson is out for all of 2020, so if he does sign a deal this winter, I expect it'll be a two-year contract with a minimal 2020 salary and then the bulk of the money in 2021
10:18
Twins should absolutely explore signing Strasburg if/when he hits the open market
Joe R
10:19
Does Gio Gonzalez get signed into a major league rotation spot this year or will be dropped again in the market like last year?
Mark P
10:19
I would hope he gets a big league deal, Gonzalez has had some good numbers
Doug
10:20
Do you think this offseason will play out more like the last two with a long delay before the big names sign? Or will the dominoes possibly fall a bit quicker this time around?
Mark P
10:21
It'll be interesting to see how teams and agents adjust after the last two winters, if there's any change at all.

One big factor in this winter's business is that Scott Boras represents so many of the biggest names, so Boras (who is more than willing to wait to land an appropriately big deal for his clients) will have a lot of control over the market
Randy Downes
10:23
do you think JD opts out and if he does then does that increase the chance Mookie gets dealt?
Mark P
10:24
My guess is that if JDM opts out, the Red Sox are more likely to hang onto Betts
joe
10:24
You mentioned that David Price could be traded in a bad  contract swap. Do you think that the Cardinals would still be interested in Price and offer Carpenter and Fowler in an exchange of bad contracts...plus some $ from Boston?
Mark P
10:26
That might be interesting.  Fowler and Carpenter both have no-trade clauses, but it'd depend on if they had interest in going to Boston.

Moving Price saves some money for the Sox, and Fowler/Carpenter would be virtual replacements for JBJ/Moreland (assuming Bradley was also traded)
Cards
10:26
We need a bat, the question is infielder or outfielder
Mark P
10:27
Cards are already stocked with infielders, so I'll say OF
Greene
10:27
Lindor, Seager, Correa, Bryant, Betts: the most likely to be traded is ____ ?
Mark P
10:27
Lindor
Ron Cey
10:28
Is it possible the Halos keep Calhoun? Can you see that scenario?
Mark P
10:28
It's possible, though it's more likely that the Angels go with Goodwin/Adell for that outfield spot
10:30
That's it for me, thanks for all the questions!  I think this is the most people I've ever seen in a chat, so clearly everyone is fired up for the offseason.  Let's hope we get a lot of wild trades and signings to keep the hot stove burning!
