We currently have over 500 people in the chatroom, even on Thanksgiving afternoon.  Many of those 500 have asked multiple questions, too.

It's busy!

Wrong! The Dodgers will not win.
Mark P
4:40
i mean, it seems like a reasonable prediction.  There's no reason the Dodgers shouldn't continue to be a contender for years to come, and as long as they keep making the playoffs, the odds are good everything will go right in at least one season
How many World Series titles will be the Dodgers win from 2020-29?

None (33.2% | 370 votes)

What teams would be the best fit for Marte? Really to find catching help
Mark P
4:42
The Giants, Cardinals, Reds, Mets, Blue Jays, Cubs and Padres all need center fielders, though not all of those teams have catching depth to spare.

Who will be the Yankees starting CF on opening day?
Mark P
4:43
Brett Gardner
Makeil Franco
4:44
Am I a lock to be nontendered? I don’t see anyone stepping into my 6M arb payout. Where am I headed?
Mark P
4:45
Franco is such an obvious non-tender candidate that interested teams probably are just waiting for him to become available, rather than give up something in a trade with Philly.
As to his next destination, hard to say, maybe a rebuilding team looking to take a flier on a guy who has had MLB success
Juan Gonzalez
4:46
Mark, who ya think is getting Strasmas?
Mark P
4:46
My pick is still Washington, though Boras will gauge the market to see if someone is willing to make an absurd offer
Just for fun
4:47
Who’d produce the greatest return in a trade TODAY, Trout, Acuna or Lindor?
Mark P
4:47
Acuna, since his contract is so team-friendly

What is your evaluation of the Yankees starting pitching?
Mark P
4:49
The Yankees still had roughly a top 10-15 staff last year even with all the injuries, so it's not like they're in awful shape.  Severino/Tanaka/Paxton/Happ/fifth starter is a good starting point, though obviously adding a frontline pitcher to the mix would help matters

Turkey or ham?
Mark P
4:49
Turkey by a mile.  I'm literally eating a turkey sub right now

Why aren’t the white Sox interested in me?
Mark P
4:50
Do we know they're not?  I'd be surprised if Chicago hadn't checked in

How do you like the A's current chances of winning the AL West?
Mark P
4:52
I like Oakland a lot as a playoff contender, but there's still a gap between the A's and the Astros.  A's will be challenged to close that gap this winter, though who knows
Reds Front Office
4:52
Who do you see as our most key player we are going to target now that grandal is off the board?
Mark P
4:52
I have to imagine it's Didi Gregorius
Alek
4:53
Why are the Twins pushing for starters so much? They have a decent 1-2, a great offense and the division is in the bag. Shouldn’t they target bullpen most?
Mark P
4:53
Great offense sure, but "division in the bag" is a stretch.  And beyond Berrios and Odorizzi, it's all unproven young pitchers.  Minnesota absolutely needs to add at least two more starters.

David Schoenfeld seems to think Ken Giles to the Mets makes sense. What would a potential deal look like?
Mark P
4:56
I can see that happening, particularly since the Mets and Jays already combined on one trade (the Stroman deal) last summer.  This is just total speculation on my part, but I wonder if something like Giles and Alford (to help the Mets' CF situation) would be enough to pull Dominic Smith away

Why doesn't Ryu get much love on FA market?  Injury history?  I actually hope the Twins sign him.
Mark P
4:58
Ryu seems underrated in general, and you're probably right that injuries are a factor.

Greg bird a fit in Baltimore?
Mark P
4:59
As much as the O's should be looking for any kind of buy-low player, Mancini/Nunez seem to have the 1B/DH area spoken for in Baltimore.  Then again, it's not like Baltimore has anything to lose by acquiring Bird and having him split time with Nunez

A lot of Jays fans are getting a bit ansy. Any signing or trades we can look forward to? Like the Twins and White Sox, we have a lot of payroll space. I am wondering if we can take some short term bad contracts off of other teams and pick up some young prospects along the way.
Mark P
5:01
This would make sense for the Jays, especially if that "bad contract" is at a position (SP, RP, maybe 1B or CF) they need to address anyway
Sieve Adams

I like a long term deal for Betances, something like what Pomeranz got. Lot of security for him plus upside for team.
Mark P
5:02
First of all, Pomeranz's deal was stunningly large.  And Betances isn't getting four years after missing basically all of 2019
