yeah, I'd do that if I didn't have major budgetary concerns
1:38
I think his floor is around there, but I'd be pretty bullish on him outearning it by a fair margin
Culpepper For Keeps?
1:38
Would a $10 Culpepper be a keeper next year in AL Only OBP?
Nicklaus Gaut
1:38
Just saw the followup
1:39
Yeah, think he's a lock in that format
The last Culpepper?
1:39
Is there any other AL hitting prospect you expect to get meaningful time this season still lurking in the minors?  How about a sneaky sb type for September? Thanks
Nicklaus Gaut
1:40
If you can afford to wait for September, I'd take Franklin Arias
Lombard
1:41
Lombard or Culpepper, ROS and 2027?
Nicklaus Gaut
1:42
Like Culpepper but gimme Lombard on both accounts
Colt Emerson
1:43
needs more time in the minors.  Agree or disagree?
Nicklaus Gaut
1:43
Disagree
1:44
might keep being bumpy but I think he's better served by continuing to figure it out in the bigs
Dancin Homer
1:45
Is it worth continuing to hold Maikel Garcia? He’s been using up valuable bench space for me all year and doesn’t ever seem to be coming back from his very mysterious hand injury.  On the other hand, a healthy Garcia would be key for me at 3B.
Nicklaus Gaut
1:46
He gets harder to hold every day and I understand the drop if in a roster pinch
I mean, you can only go so long without getting an actual update following a rehab setback
1:47
reason #878 to never trust baseball management
but, I probably wouldn't fire him off for a day or two
1:48
given that it can take a little bit for cortisone to kick in it's effectiveness
Rick
1:48
Joyce is back and throwing over 100. Angels have to let him close as long as he's healthy, right?
Nicklaus Gaut
1:49
I would hope so but I'm sure they won't go full bore right away
RAGBRAI
1:50
ERA/WHIP season you say. Better to cut a Manaea and/or Singer for relievers in a NL with SOLDS?
Nicklaus Gaut
1:50
depends on the RPs you can get, but those two are smack in the range of SPs I'd be willing to offload to chase ratio improvements
Jack
1:51
Pick one "outfielder" for the stretch run (12 team, average and OPS cats league): Kwan, Dubon, Ramos, Yoshida, Edman, Varsho, Moniak, Bleday
Nicklaus Gaut
1:52
Ramos, followed closely by Moniak
Don’t! Stop thinking about tomorrow!
1:52
Coming up to a starts limit. Should I let my guys fly now if the matchups are good and then cut them all at the end of the season or spread the starts out more selectively? (For instance, Cole vs. Atlanta, Bradish @Tex, and Kirby @TB tomorrow are suddenly fringy for me…)
Nicklaus Gaut
1:53
Kirby for sure, and Cole too
but I'm passing on that Bradish start

1:53
Your internet, it works?the_horns
Nicklaus Gaut
1:53
It does! It actually came back like four hours after last week's chat ended
1:54
only ended up being three casualties (on AT&T's side, of course)
the war was actually already over, but the news hadn't yet reached the southern cul de sac front
RAGBRAI
1:55
That’s a lot of baggage to take in a trip.
Nicklaus Gaut
1:55
yeah man, not great
seven kids, six adults
officially outnumbered on international waters
not ideal
Mr. Backstop
1:56
Been streaming the C spot for a couple weeks now after losing Langeliers. Who do you like best in a 12 team OBP league: Stephenson, Jeffers, Endy Rodriguez, or Kirk?
Nicklaus Gaut
1:56
Jeffers, baby!
I love picking him
