He's striking out in 30% of his plate apperances and has an OBP barely north of .300 while sporting a BABIP that's 30 points north of his career mark. I still don't think he's an everyday player, and the two weeks since I've made that statement haven't changed anything for me.

Makes all the sense in the world to me -- can even play some first base with Duda on the shelf. I'd be surprised if they're not among the most oft-linked teams to Lucroy, though he'll obviously be in pretty big demand.

With the way he's pitching right now, I wouldn't expect it, but Ian Kennedy had an ERA around 6.50 this time last season, then rattled off four very good months and got 5/70 with an opt-out in spite of his QO.

Miller brings back considerably more -- he's controlled for two more years at a reasonable rate and doesn't have Chapman's recent off-field baggage. There's virtually no contending team that wouldn't have interest in Miller, though the Rangers are maybe the clearest fit to me at the moment.

Multiple clubs reportedly claimed him last time -- Phillies were said to have placed a claim, also, but had lower priority being in the other league -- so I think there will still be teams with interest, yeah. The past two weeks or so haven't dramatically impacted teams' views on his abilities.

Votto's said he wants to stay in Cinci, and he has a full no-trade clause to go along with $199MM remaining on his deal (minus what he's already taken home in 2016). I don't think that many teams would even be able (or willing) to take him on at that rate, and it's kind of a non-issue unless his "I want to stay here" talk was all lip service to the media.

There are dozens upon dozens of players that have posted a .900 OPS over a sample of a couple months of irregular playing time and gone on to fizzle out quickly. Bryan LaHair was an All-Star in 2012 and hasn't played in the Majors since that season.

Sure -- low cost of acquisition, decent glove, history of serviceable offense at the big league level. He won't set the world on fire, but I'd prefer him to some Triple-A lifer.

It takes one of his biggest competitors. If he can sustain something close to his current clip and show he can catch on three straight days with regularity by season's end, I'd start at somewhere in the four year/$60MM range.

I'd have said his value was at an all-time high just a month ago when he started throwing mid-90s out of nowhere in April. Now, though, his velocity dropped off precipitously back to its normal level, and his strikeouts are down. He still has some value since he's affordable, has some degree of a track record and is getting way more grounders than ever this season, but the thought of him bringing back any premium pieces disappeared with his velocity for me.

Former first-rounder that had plenty of prospect hype, was involved in a high-profile trade and had really good numbers his first two seasons in San Diego plus solid peripheral stats last season. He hasn't been impressive this season, but the intrigue makes sense.
