Kirilloff could also change my mind. He slaughtered Triple-A pitching again.
Since his recall, he's hit .233/.250/.367 in 32 PA. But there's a pulse here.

Marcel Ozuna, Franmil, Verdugo: drop one
Brad Johnson
12:31
Ooh tough
12:32
So, I'm going to say it depends on format and opportunity cost.
12:33
To spell it out a little more, Ozuna and Franimal are both low AVG/OBP hitters. But they're great for HR/RBI. Fine in R.
12:34
Verdugo typically chips in a good AVG/OBP but doesn't offer much juice in the other categories. He isn't a zero in anything. In a vacuum, I'd want to cut Verdugo. In context, you probably don't want both power bats with their similar flaws. They both hit the ball so hard... I think you could flip a coin.
I know I like Reyes a little more personally.

How long do I hang on to Blake Snell?
Brad Johnson
12:35
Indefinitely. He's pitching well underneath that 5.60 ERA.
12:36
For now, use him for Ws and Ks. If the late-2021 command comes back, he'll be a top ~10 SP again.
Chris Archer
12:36
Will Archer ever pitch more than 5 innings this year?
Brad Johnson
12:37
Probably? You should not mess with Chris Archer in fantasy. He's pretty much toast.
Kind of the opposite scenario of Snell. He's pitching really poorly despite a 3.14 ERA.

Who should I start Austin Wynns or Gary Sánchez
Brad Johnson
12:38
I think you gotta go with Sanchez. He contributes to 3 categories. Wynns is a 0-cat roster patch.

I loved your article about trading, and particularly the comment about the specific owner. It sounded so familiar I had to double check our owners to make sure you weren’t in our league under a pseudonym. My question is what do you think of Kelenic for this year and moving forward and do you think we will see him and or Langoliers any time this year?
Brad Johnson
12:40
Yea, we'll see Kelenic again. Probably Langeliers too. I wonder if the A's will consider trading Sean Murphy. Seems like he needs a change of scenery. He's far more talented than his results.
12:41
I offered some thoughts about Kelenic earlier. I really don't know what's happened, but it reads like he's tinkering too much. Some of the contact and discipline traits that characterized his prospectdom have backed up in a way that isn't very common.
Definitely giving me Dom Brown and Fernando Martinez vibes.
Roster Construction
12:42
I'm in an only league with a 3-man bench. Currently it's all outfielders. This feels like poor roster allocation, but I'm not finding many trade partners who will give full value. (Not a very trade-heavy league.) At what point do you take 80 cents on the dollar to add, say, an extra save spec or spot starter?
Brad Johnson
12:42
Well, the first key is to not help a close rival if you're selling at a discount.
It might be that you aren't actually selling at a discount though. Replacement level on outfielders can be high, even in an Only format.
12:43
I'd also probably want something more impactful than spec saves or a spot starter.
12:45
I'm pretty stubborn so I'd probably hold the guys too long if it were only up to me. Try to find an opportunity that feels like you have a path to profit in some way - either a good guy with a limited role at the moment, or something that starts for you in another position. Consider selling from your starters rather than your bench

Do the Mets bring up Alvarez given the struggles of their current catchers?
Brad Johnson
12:46
I don't know how aggressive the Cohen Mets will be with prospects. My inclination is that, yes, it's possible. But they're likelier to chase down Contreras, Murphy, or another catcher on the trade market.

Is Whit a good buy low?  Better than B. Rodgers overall ROS in your view?
Brad Johnson
12:46
Yes. I don't see anything "wrong" with Whit besides the same glaring problems he's overcome for the better part of a decade.
12:47
Rodgers just isn't much of anything.

12:47
Is Eloy Jimenez worth hanging on to in dynasty or should I trade him for whatever I can get once he's healthy and playing again?
Brad Johnson
12:48
I'd try to trade him personally (I have no shares for a reason), but expect to not find a fair trade for awhile.
Injuries aside, what I don't like about Jimenez is his mix of poor discipline, high strikeout rate, and way too many GBs.
12:49
Yea, he hits the piss out of the ball, but he really needs to make his few fly balls count.
Brad
12:49
Any 24 team dynasty prospects I should be looking at?
Brad Johnson
12:49
Gleider Figuereo.
12:50
He's the equivalent of a 1.1 FYPD pick if he's still on your wire.
I'm guessing Jackson Chourio is long gone. If not, grab him.
12:51
Will Brennan is a guy the Indians like as a low-profile regular
Probably late on Tanner Bibee, Andrew Painter, and Griff McGarry
