Thoughts about a trade of Lindor to the Yankees involving Andujar?
Connor Byrne
6:17
Speaking of Andujar ... maybe he could be involved, but certainly not as the main piece after an injury-ruined season.
AJ Preller
6:17
Will I ever pull the trigger on a #1 or #2 starter? Don't I feel the seat warming?
Connor Byrne
6:18
I expect the Padres to be in on Cole and Strasburg (if the latter gets to FA), and they'll look into trades for whichever good starters end up on the block.
Luhnow
6:18
Shouldn't I consider flipping Grienke and resigning Cole?
Connor Byrne
6:19
You can consider it, Astros GM Jeff Luhnow, but is it a realistic possibility? Doubtful

Kyle Seager as a trade option for the Braves? He shouldn’t be to expensive
Connor Byrne
6:20
Problem is that Seager's $15MM vesting option for 2021 or 2022 (can't remember which off the top of my head) becomes a player option if he's traded. He'd obviously exercise it, which wouldn't be good for the acquiring team. That poison pill could wipe out any trade chances.
Semien
6:21
Chances A's extend Marcus Semien this offseason?
Connor Byrne
6:22
They'll probably try, but at last check, they're more focused on extending Chapman. If only one gets a long-term deal from OAK, it'll be the latter.
Travis Darnaud
6:22
Can I expect a multi year deal and who needs catching?
Connor Byrne
6:22
I think a 2-yr deal in the 10-12 range. Angels, Pirates, Reds, Brewers among a few potential fits outside of TB.
Jack
6:23
Will Buck Showalter end up managing somewhere this year?
Connor Byrne
6:23
Kind of seems like it's Phillies or bust for Buck, and they seem to like Girardi most among their candidates. I guess some other team could rise up as a legit Buck suitor, but it hasn't happened yet.
DW
6:24
Reds land Grandal, Didi, and Ender this offseason. Playoff contenders next year?
Connor Byrne
6:24
Not an unreasonable trio of acquisitions. I think they'd win 85-ish games, which probably wouldn't be enough.
JP
6:25
Bringing in Chapman was worth it because of the WS win, but damn it would be nice to see Gleyber Torres in a Cubs uniform.
Connor Byrne
6:25
Probably fair to call it a win-win trade
Vic
6:25
Any chance the Dodgers trade J. Pederson this year? Maybe the Reds will take him.
Connor Byrne
6:26
Could see it happening. I think Pederson's entering his last year of control, and he did come up in trade rumors last offseason (White Sox were interested; perhaps they'll circle back)

Cubs looking at Jackie Bradley trade?
Connor Byrne
6:27
I wrote up some possible JBJ suitors the other day. Cubs are on the list: https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2019/10/looking-for-a-match-in-a-jackie...

Gregory Polanco and Starling Marte and a PTBNL to the indians for Corey Kluber and some type of outfield prospect?? Who says no??
Connor Byrne
6:27
I don't see why the Pirates would do this
BillyEppler
6:27
Does taking a chance on someone like Porcello makes sense to allow us the flexibility to go after a big gun like Cole in addition to him?
Connor Byrne
6:28
Yes, Angels GM Billy Eppler. Porcello could at least provide innings from the back end. Not many Angels SPs have been able to competently eat up innings in recent years.
Whit Merrifield
6:28
Shouldn't me and my awesome contract be traded?
Connor Byrne
6:29
Yes, but the Royals haven't shown much of any interest in doing so
Thad Levine
6:29
How will I fill out my rotation for 2020
Connor Byrne
6:30
(Twins GM Thad Levine) - I think MIN will at least look into the Coles and Strasburgs, but they'll be too expensive. Could see them win the bidding for a guy like Wheeler or Bumgarner, though.

Are the yankees the front runner for Garrett Cole? I believe the Yankees have the ability to splurge more max dollars while the Angels need to prioritize grabbing TWO. From of the line starters.
Connor Byrne
6:31
No, I don't think the Yankees are the front-runners. Cole's a West Coast guy, and indications are that's where he wants to go. And the Yankees, despite their reputation, haven't been massive FA spenders in recent years. Maybe they'll buck the trend for Cole, but I think the Angels are the more logical choice.
Non tender
6:31
Do you have non tender candidates list
Connor Byrne
6:32
Not yet, but I'm sure it's something we'll be doing in the coming weeks
Adam
6:32
Do you think Puk & Luzardo are both in Oakland's rotation next May?
Connor Byrne
6:32
I think they'll be given every opportunity to win starting jobs in the spring
Imaginary Red Sox GM
6:33
Should I trade David Price for Eric Hosmer? It saves me tax dollars.
Connor Byrne
6:33
I'd rather have Price
