I hope not, as I enjoy listening to his color commentary

Who am I anymore to my organization?
Connor Byrne
7:07
Kershaw? A really good starter, even though you're not the all-world demigod you were for a long time.
Alex
7:07
Could you see the Dbacks signing a starter like Odorizzi, Or will they go with Ray/Weaver/Walker/Gallen/Kelly?
Connor Byrne
7:08
Odorizzi should be out of their price range

Thanks for the chat!

Thanks to everyone for reading and asking questions!

How bad is the coming season going to be for the Tigers?
Connor Byrne
7:09
How bad is 50-some wins?
the skipper
7:09
Do you see my Phils getting Cole Hamels?
Connor Byrne
7:09
Aim higher, Phillies (not that Hamels would be a bad secondary addition at all)

Will Smith to the Nats? 3yrs 35?
Connor Byrne
7:10
Probably light on years or at least money
Sieve Adams

Little discussion of how ineffectual Happ signing was. Late 30s multiple years $17m AAV guy not good enough to pitch in playoffs for team with decimated staff.
Connor Byrne
7:10
Hindsight: NYY would've been a lot better off with Morton for similar money, but whether he had interest in going there, I don't know
Cards fan
7:11
Who will the Cards target if Ozuna signs elsewhere?
Connor Byrne
7:12
Ozuna's departure seems like a foregone conclusion. I think it was Mark Saxon of The Athletic who reported a couple weeks ago they won't be adding any OFers. In general, I'm not sure they'll be incredibly active this offseason. The first matter of business is finding out Wainwright's future.
Sieve Adams

Bigger guarantee, Wheeler or Ryu.
Connor Byrne
7:12
Wheeler

If the Cubs trade Quintana, wouldn’t a reunion of Hamels make sense? 1-2 yr deal at 5-6 per?
Connor Byrne
7:12
Hamels will do better than that

Has Daniel Hudson elevated his stock with his strong postseason?  Is he a two-year candidate now?
Connor Byrne
7:13
Yes to both questions

Thoughts on SF Giants managerial search and possible selection?
Connor Byrne
7:14
Seems like Joe Espada's a pretty strong bet at this point, though the Giants have been pretty tight-lipped about the whole process
Cito's Mustache

The Jays need SP badly but they'll probably be shopping at the low end on guys like Miley and Wood, right?
Connor Byrne
7:15
Yeah, I don't think they'll be landing anyone huge. Could see them doling out a guarantee anywhere from 20-40MM at the high end.

Why would the Pirates fire the GM in the middle of manager interviews AND the President AFTER they just left him in charge of the new TV deal?  I am at a loss with this organization.
Connor Byrne
7:15
Your guess is as good as mine.

No ketchup on a dog right?
Connor Byrne
7:16
Fact: Hot dogs are terrible no matter what's on them.

Chances ChiSox sign any major FA's
Connor Byrne
7:17
I fully expect that to happen, assuming a guy like Castellanos is "major" to you.
Jeykel
7:17
Yankees need a left power bat which you would choose for a surprise change
Connor Byrne
7:18
Does Lindor count? Maybe him if NYY makes an earnest effort to get him. Don't sleep on Mike Ford if he gets a chance over a full season.
(I realize Lindor's a switch-hitter, but close enough)

Value wise - Cole, Strasberg, or Wheeler? Best range estimate?
Connor Byrne
7:19
I'd tell you this, but then I'd be spoiling our top 50 FA predictions (which are coming very soon)
Babe Ruth

Hot dogs are gods perfect food take that back

Shut up, Babe
