Will the Orioles bring Chris Davis back in 2020?
Connor Byrne
6:21
They've already said he'll at least be in spring training, but I don't know how much longer they can run him out there when he's flat-out bad (money be damned)

Any chance Detroit releases Miguel Cabrera?    awfully expensive singles hitter.
Connor Byrne
6:22
Another regrettable contract. No, he'll be staying put. He's nowhere near as awful as Davis, and the Tigers have to pay Miggy no matter what.

What can the Rockies realistically do this offseason to get back to the playoffs?
Connor Byrne
6:23
Hire a better general manager and hope their pitchers bounce back?
Marlins
6:23
What is our offseason looking like?
Connor Byrne
6:23
Probably more stopgap-type signings for not a lot of money.
Dark

What, realistically, do you think the odds of the Halos signing Cole is? Seems like so many believe its a foregone conclusion, but id have to imagine teams like the White Sox would be in on him heavily as well (possibly feeling stung after missing both Manny and Harper last offseason, while also having just as much need and as little money on the books as any other team chasing his services)
Connor Byrne
6:25
It's absolutely not a foregone conclusion, but the Angels stand out as a team that should go all-out for him. I agree on White Sox.
Billy Eppler
6:25
Since Boras is Adell's agent, why on Earth would I not wait a couple of weeks and have him for seven years instead of six.
Connor Byrne
6:26
Another Angels question. This very well could happen, especially with Brian Goodwin around as a stopgap (assuming the Angels buy out Kole Calhoun)
Jeff
6:26
Forget Kris Bryant, he's not going anywhere. How big a haul can the Cubs get for Willson Contreras?
Connor Byrne
6:28
He'd bring back quite a lot as a 27-yr-old star catcher w/ 3 yrs' control left. Also, the FA class of catchers isn't very good after Grandal, so that would only add to his trade value.
Yank

What happens with Betances next year?
Connor Byrne
6:28
My guess as of now is that he'll stick w/ the Yankees on a 1-yr deal and try to rebuild his value.

Will any of the following be managers in 2020 girardi  showalter  and ron Washington.
Connor Byrne
6:29
I'll say Girardi
Jason
6:29
What would you give Gerrit Cole if you were a GM?
Connor Byrne
6:29
Something along the lines of the Scherzer contract (7/210)
Rendon
6:30
Where do I sign next year?
Connor Byrne
6:31
Extremely wild guess: Texas

If Theo wants to make some moves. Could a trade with BoSox to shed talent and future payroll for Mookie?
Connor Byrne
6:32
Mark Polishuk wrote an excellent piece yesterday on potential fits for Betts: https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2019/10/looking-for-a-match-in-a-mookie...
Vander Meer

What do you see the Reds doing this offseason?
Connor Byrne
6:33
Middle infield, catcher, outfield will all be priorities. Pres Dick Williams has indicated they're going big-game hunting in free agency.
Lunhow's Luxury
6:33
Would the baseball world implode if the Astros extend Gerrit Cole?
Connor Byrne
6:33
It would make free agency a hell of a lot less interesting.
Giant dreams
6:34
It seems difficult to continue the narrative that the Giants are really trying to win every season. Agree?
Connor Byrne
6:34
I wouldn't say that. They could have had a fire sale at this year's deadline, but they hung on to guys like Bumgarner and Smith in hopes of a miracle run.
BABIP ROBERTS

Biggest star player traded this offseason?
Connor Byrne
6:35
Betts
Zach
6:35
Do you think there's more of chance that Oakland does something out of character and makes a semi-big splash this offseason?  Feels like 2020 is a big year with Semien FA bound.
Connor Byrne
6:36
I wouldn't put it past the A's if they can get someone whom they wouldn't have to commit to for the long haul (Betts?). They did try to sign Encarnacion for something like 2/50 in free agency a few years back, if my memory's right.

Do the Cubs go and get a centerfielder
Connor Byrne
6:36
It seems that'll be on their to-do list. Almora had a rough season.
Donaldson
6:37
Can I get a four year deal north of 80 mil?
Connor Byrne
6:37
I think that's too rich in both cases. A high-AAV 3-yr deal could be w/in reach, though.
Castellanos
6:38
Where do you think I will end up?
Connor Byrne
6:38
Probably with an AL team so you can divide your time between OF and DH.
