Chapman & Will Smith are the best potential FA lefty relievers. Tony Watson could make sense. Jake Diekman's someone the Nats had interest in this summer.

Who is gonna win the Stanley Cup?
Connor Byrne
7:15
The Ralph Krueger-led Buffalo Sabres, of course.

4 year deal for $65 mill sound right?
Connor Byrne
7:15
Could be somewhat high, but that's not unreasonable, especially w/ no QO hanging over his head.

If Chapman opts out of NYY, and they don't pursue, who closes?
Connor Byrne
7:16
Britton would probably be the in-house front-runner

Remind me again why we signed AJ Pollock
Connor Byrne
7:17
I didn't love that signing at the time (now watch Pollock win WS MVP or something)
Arte Moreno

Is 170M/6Y enough to land Cole?
Connor Byrne
7:17
Doubtful. I'll be surprised if he doesn't get 200MM or more.
Deflation

Sounds like you are predicting free agents will be low balled this offseason.   Get it while you can.  Would you take a QO or opt into the trials of free agency?  Lots of players have a tough decision on this.
Connor Byrne
7:18
Depends on the type of year I had. If I'm a guy like Gregorius, I'd have a tough time turning down the QO. For the Coles and Rendons, rejecting's a no-brainer
Charlie Morton
7:19
How many productive years do you think I have left?
Connor Byrne
7:19
2-3? However, if memory serves, Morton has suggested he might retire after next season.
Nice Work
