I'll take another Giants question and go with them as the answer. They'll be able to spend a large amount when they want to, and I trust Farhan Zaidi & Co. to right the ship soon
i also like Mike Hazen of the D-backs, but the Giants have more payroll capability

If you were Stearns would you rather have JBJ for 1/13-2/24 or Odo for 3/39 (assuming that gets it done)?
Connor Byrne
4:53
Tough one, but I'd probably take JBJ because I trust him more to stay healthy and give me at least average production
Booboo
4:54
Expanded playoffs, the more the better. Or do you prefer the way it is now?
Connor Byrne
4:54
I don't really have a preference either way on this (assuming there aren't more teams added than last year), whereas I'm all for the universal DH
Shortstop Shuffle
4:55
With many high end SS's hitting free agency this coming off season - any prediction on the landing places of the elite guys?  Lindor, Seager, Story etc....  The 'Boras Factor' sucks!
Connor Byrne
4:55
Don't know yet, but I do expect the Mets to extend Lindor
Big Bob
4:56
If Bonds etal should get into the HOF so should Rose.
Connor Byrne
4:56
I'd put him in
Shane Greene
4:57
What kind of deal do I sign? I have to be the best inning per inning pitcher left on the market, right?
Connor Byrne
4:57
I think the Braves should just bring him back for 1/4 or something in that vicinity
Nicholas
4:59
What type of year you expect from Luis Robert?
Connor Byrne
4:59
A WAR in the 4s or thereabouts. Somewhat better offense, as long as he slashes the strikeouts, and more great defense

Are people underrating cincy’s rotation even after Bauer’s departure. Mahle and Antone could make a nice 4 and 5.
Connor Byrne

It's still a pretty good-looking group. It'll be interesting to see if Lorenzen's able to stick.
Ohtani
5:01
My HR yesterday was with a deaden ball.I have big year at plate and on mound. Watch my spring outing tomorrow.
Connor Byrne
5:02
I hope. Baseball's more interesting with a good, healthy Shohei Ohtani.

It is funny how every AL East team has question marks, but the Red Sox are written off.
Connor Byrne
5:02
I just don't see the Red Sox having the talent of the Yankees, Rays and Jays at this point.

why are you always so low on the Pirates? Kuhl and Brault had breakout years last year! Keller a top 15 prospect! Ke'Bryan Hayes is the ROY favorite! Bryan Reynolds led the league in batting for most of 2019! Stallings and Frazier gold glove finalists! Geez Louis....
Connor Byrne
5:04
They're quite bad, but I do think Hayes will win ROY. He'll be fun to watch if you're a fan looking for hope in a bleak situation.
Yasiel Puig Or Yoenis Cespedes?
5:05
Who is your pick for best available FA hitter or position player?
Connor Byrne
5:06
I'm most intrigued by Puig, but you could make a case for guys like Braun and Gyorko
England Hater 84
5:08
Please sir, I just want to know what your opinion on England is
Connor Byrne
5:08
I like it.

who's your favorite non star player, the guy who you rooted for even if they were never really good?
Connor Byrne
5:10
I was a big Scott Brosius fan way back when, but he wasn't the superstar I thought he was (not a bad player at all, granted)
5:11
this was amazing:
The Clash?
5:12
Connor... How did you get me listening to The Clash for the first time in years? I came here for baseball but somehow you have paid your Jedi mind tricks on me.
Connor Byrne
5:12
never a bad thing to listen to The Clash
5:13
lots of good questions left, but I have to go. Thanks, everyone! Mark will chat over the weekend, Steve on Tuesday, and I'll do one again Thursday. Take care.
