After this CBA is up could you see the next one have more of a soft salary cap similar to the NBA? That could be an incentive for teams to keep their players. They could only get another year at max salary from the team they're on now.

It won't be for a while, if at all, since Tom has missed a lot of camp with his oblique injury.  He'll need time to get fully ramped up.

I'm not big enough of a boxing guy to make a credible all-time top 10, but Hagler was an incredible fighter.  That bout with Hearns is the all-time best short fight in boxing history.

That's the other goofy part of Mather's whole speech --- if the M's keep Kelenic in the minors to start the year, they can use the "he has never played in Triple-A" excuse.  We'd all roll our eyes, but it would be a valid excuse and enough to avoid a grievance.

I'm pretty optimistic about a rebound.  Maybe more for "2020 was just weird" reasons than for any deep dive into Corbin's numbers, but he might also be well-served in being more than a year removed from that Nationals' playoff run.

It's one of those minor changes that doesn't really seem like it could alter play that much, but it becomes more of a factor the more you think about it.  It'll take a bit of muscle-memory adjustment for fielders, in fact, to avoid tripping over a bag or taking a bad step themselves.
