With the caveat that it's Spring Training so I wouldn't get too carried away about India yet, your overall point is correct.  Evaluators and scouts haven't seen a lot of these prospects play in well over a year, and a lot of these kids have barely played any pro games at all.

There's also the x-factor of how the alternate training site workouts will help or hurt some prospects.  It's quite possible that kind of specialized environment really boosted some guys, turning some moderate prospects into potential breakout guys.

I think Grich is more of a well-known "why isn't he in the HOF?" guy, so he is likely to get more consideration from a future veterans committee.  Freehan is so underrated that he's even underrated as a Cooperstown candidate.
