Too early for that, the NL East is too compact

Al Avila said we've got to get the pitching right first. I think the pitching is getting right,Right?

Detroit's quietly put together a nice few weeks here, highlighted by this sweep of the Yankees.  If the young arms continue to get results like this, the Tigers could very well decide that the depth of the rebuild is over, and they can start adding some pieces as early as this winter.
Now, here's another wrinkle.....the Tigers also have to figure out if their young pitchers are this successful because they're good, or if it's because it's 2021 and "the year of the pitcher."

Who is the most underrated pitching staff in baseball right now?
Mark P

Not sure how "underrated" they are at this point, but San Francisco
Kiermaier

I want to jump in front of this. Do the Rays move me (to Mets?) to make room for Brujan? Phillips and Lowe must be looking over their shoulder too.

It's a lot tougher to move Kiermaier and his salary than it was to move Adames, who is a lot less expensive and isn't injured half the time.  The Rays have enough prospect depth that they might consider attaching one of their good minor leaguers to Kiermaier just to get his contract off their books, but the team seems loath to burn a young asset like that

The rest of the SNL cast has gathered behind me, so yeah, looks like it's time to wrap it up.  Thanks for all the questions, and we'll be back next weekend with another chat.

(by the way, what could the SNL cast members possibly have to say to each other on stage that couldn't wait until a few minutes later, when they're not trying to have a conversation while a band is playing loud music and an audience is applauding?)
