Elizabeth Hurley

Yeah I’m also interested in your thoughts on a Segura for Kimbrel potential swap?
Mark P
10:16
It makes some sense, though it leaves the Phillies with a 2B hole to fill unless they acquire someone else or they're confident Stott is ready

10:17
With no obvious fit, how do I handle Nolan Gorman?
Mark P
10:18
Assuming the DH spot is available, that opens up another avenue for at-bats.  A Gorman/Edman platoon at 2B seems like a logical move.

Twins quietly have lots of payroll space. Do you think they will rebuild or retool. Does buxton get traded if he doesn’t sign an extension?
Mark P
10:20
The Twins have been known to bounce back quickly from disappointing seasons, and the AL Central doesn't have a dominant team.  However, Minnesota's roster seems to have a lot of holes, in my view.  If they're not in the hunt by midseason, I can see them pivoting into more of a true rebuild mode.

Cubs leading division so far in off season . 10 million for Miley. Is this a sign of things to come with opening checkbook? Won’t take much to win division .
Mark P
10:21
I still have my doubts that the Cubs will spend serious money for a full-on push to contend.  Not that $10MM is chump change, but for a team with a lot of rotation needs, having Miley suddenly fall to them on the waiver wire was basically a no-brainer

Who am I to argue with the thoughts of Elizabeth Hurley, but I thought a Carter Kieboom for Kimbrel trade would make some sense.
Mark P
10:24
Josh, I'll be honest....I have my doubts that's the real Elizabeth Hurley.

Kieboom/Kimbrel doesn't seem like a fit on either end.  The Nats aren't going to give up on Kieboom for one year of a veteran closer, and while I think the Sox would make that trade out of sheer long-term logic, Chicago wants an infielder that can immediately contribute in 2022

Realistically what year does the Pittsburgh Pirates content 2023 or 2024
Mark P
10:24
Given the state of the NL Central, we can't rule out 2023 if some of the Pirates' young guys start to show some real progress this year.

Can you middle like Larry David or end seat at table?
Mark P
10:26
I'm a decent middler.  In the right table, I can put on a Larry-esque performance, but most of the team I prefer to just chime into conversations rather than lead them.

Time to wrap this chat up, thanks for all the questions!  Back next weekend
