Senga
7:53
I throw 100 with a nasty splitter, why is no one talking about me?  Where should I play next year
Mark P
7:53
Whole lot of speculation about Senga out there, but it's all just spec at this point since not much is known about what teams he might be targeting

What are your thoughts on Abreu going to the Tigers? Maybe a one-year deal? He could help mentor Torkelson.
Mark P
7:54
Abreu surely wants to join a team in better position to contend, and he'll find much better offers than a one-year deal.

I assume you have no love for Kyle Wright winning the NL Cy Young and would prefer to give it to someone who won 7 games less and lost more games than Wright?
Mark P
7:57
If I had a Cy Young vote, I'd be looking at about 50 stats before getting around to win-loss record.

Rangers a dark horse threat to sign Abreu?
Mark P
7:59
Ha, after just writing about how Abreu wants to join a contender, now I'm more open to the idea of him joining a team who had only two more wins than Detroit.

It does make some sense, if Abreu thinks the Rangers are ready to turn the corner.  Abreu/Lowe works as a 1B/DH combo, though Texas may not want to lock up the DH spot entirely

Maybe there are worse FA contract signings, but Sale has to rank up at the top for worst extensions given right? That was a bad extension at the time and the $30+ mil that should have been bookmarked for Betts went to a guy that has pitched 50 innings over the past 3 years
Mark P
8:01
Perhaps moreso than Betts, the money could've been spent to lock up Bogaerts on a bigger extension that didn't include an opt-out clause
Judge
8:02
Could he go to Braves who need LF help if Dansby walks?
Mark P
8:02
As per my earlier answer about Correa, I really don't see Atlanta going even higher on the spending scale to land Judge
Stick Michael
8:03
What are my Yankees planning if/when Judge leaves??
Mark P
8:04
For as much flack as the Yankees have taken for not being aggressive as their fans would like, it's not like Cashman is any stranger to bold moves.  If Judge did leave, that's a huge void the Yankees would need to fill, and I think you'd see some big transactions taking place
Cleveland
8:04
Cleveland trades for Murphy and signs Abreu.. they are going to the WS. Heard it here first. Someone like Bibee and Williams could be replacing Civale/Plesac at some point, while Valera is coming too. The dynasty has begun.

I enjoy the optimism!  Writing the Guardians' offseason outlook last week, it did strike me that the Guards suddenly have a lot of pieces in place.  The worry is that a team-wide sophomore slump might bring things down, but even getting Murphy and Abreu alone would shore up some big weaknesses

We're at the two-hour mark, and Game 6 is underway.  Time to wrap things up, and thanks to everyone for submitting their questions!
