I would think one-year deal, or (again) a two-year deal with a player opt-out after the first season.

The O’s won’t be in the top tier guys this year unless they decide to buy a shortstop and trade from their surplus to land an ace. I don’t think that’s happening. I think they will hand out a few 35+ million dollar contracts this off-season (think Bassitt, Taillon, Eovaldi etc) since they have so many guys who are rookies or in AAA that need to prove they can stick on the MLB roster. Once they find out who sticks from that wave, that’s when they’re going to spend.

Agree, it's not like the O's are going to go wild with spending all of a sudden.  Remember, they're at least a year early....Mike Elias doesn't want to push too hard and interrupt the still-ongoing development project

I keep hearing the Braves are looking for OF help. Aren’t they log jammed with Rosario and Ozuna in LF? Contreras will see majority of DH/C right? RIGHT?

Jays Moreno played some 3B in minors, why not deal Chapman (Free up cash), Move Jensen and sign top arm with money saved on Chapman?

There's a big difference between "playing some 3B in the minors" and taking over as a regular third baseman for a star defender like Chapman
