Your site had Rosenthal linked to coming back as a starter. I couldn't find mention of that in the link (or anywhere else). Can you confirm?
Jeffrey Todd
3:54
Unless I linked to the wrong story, it's in there from Goold. Wasn't clear that he would actually return as a starter, just that he might work as one in rehab (as I noted). Matheny said it, so it's legit.

You think Jonathan Lucroy (no power) can get Frazier or Zimmer but Bruce cant even get Christian Arroyo. LOL.
Jeffrey Todd
3:55
What's funny is that you obviously aren't aware that Lucroy is a highly talented up-the-middle defender with a cheap contract.
Brian
3:56
Jonathan Lucroy makes the Indians so much better. Can you explain why they haven't done it yet? It is a no brainer.
Jeffrey Todd
3:56
They are probably trying to get him at a price they find fair. MIL is trying to extract more from them or another team. This is why it often goes down to the deadline.
Bob
3:56
you know about lucas harrell but not jay bruce- one of the best NL players- LOL
Jeffrey Todd
3:57
I rated him as the #1 trade candidate in baseball for several weeks in our ranking series.
Anyway, no more Bob.

Is Bruce the only red you see being moved?
Jeffrey Todd
3:58
Could well be.

Will the Dodgers pull the trigger on one of Sale or Archer?
Jeffrey Todd
3:58
If they really put Urias on the table, I think the odds are reasonably high.

For Trump you get the GOOD OLD USA BACK!!!! And that my friend IS A WINNER!!!!!!!!!
Jeffrey Todd
4:00
I would gladly trade Donald Trump to get the real USA back.
[that's the end of the jokey political banter]
Okay, couple more questions and I have to get back to making up rumors for the website.
I mean, not that!

Is Kurt Suzuki a fallback option for the teams pursuing Lucroy?
Jeffrey Todd
4:01
He is one of several backup catching options out there, and not a bad one. He's already been traded twice at the deadline (both between the A's and Nats) and isn't performing badly.
Actually I mistakenly left him off of the "also considered" portion of my latest trade candidates list ... think I went back and put him in there.
MLBTR question
4:01
Do you ever have current players contact you directly as a source?
Jeffrey Todd
4:02
We have had a few guys alert us to signings and such.
ChickenButt

Sabathia have any value on the trade market?
Jeffrey Todd
4:02
That vesting option is a gigantic barrier.
Matt Klentak

We saw Tulo, Papelbon and Price all traded on this date last year. Maybe the Baseball Gods will bless us with a blockbuster?
Jeffrey Todd
4:03
Never know!
Nate
4:04
Who's the better RP target: Jeanmar Gomez or Jeremy Jeffress?
Jeffrey Todd
4:04
Jeffress has more now and future value.
"now value" is a thing, apparently

I think I sent no less than 20 questions.... Skunked.
Jeffrey Todd
4:05
But I noticed this one! Loads of people in here right now so I am just skimming and grabbing what happens to catch my attention.
Doing my best.
One for one

Teheran for Moncada. Do you pull the trigger if you're Coppy?
Jeffrey Todd
4:05
Yes, but it won't be offered.
4:06
And yes, I'm aware that Moncada is a middle infielder, etc, etc, but he's a blue chip prospect and not far from the majors.
Jeff
4:06
Will the Jays trade Bautista.....
Jeffrey Todd
4:06
Almost certainly not.
Casey
4:06
Should Royals go full rebuild?
Jeffrey Todd
4:07
They should either sell a few targeted pieces to add some future value and reload a bit for 2017, or begin a massive sell-off that continues into the winter.
