My Dog's Birthday is Tomorrow
3:39
Familia has blown 2 straight saves..Mets seeking bullpen help?
Jeffrey Todd
3:39
Yep.
But not for that reason.
Cashman
3:39
Who is more attractive prospect?? Gallo or giolito
Jeffrey Todd
3:40
The latter, IMO. True #1 starter ceiling, and he's ready for big league action. Gallo has too many questions and too much downside, I think. But they aren't vastly different assets in general value.
Dipoto
3:41
Who could Seattle get back for Wade Miley and where would Miley go?
Jeffrey Todd
3:41
Some cost savings, mostly. He's a good target for the Marlins.
Mod Jeff
3:41
Should Derek Dietrich start over Dee Gordon?
Jeffrey Todd
3:42
He should get semi-regular playing time, mixing in at second, third, corner OF.
If that comes at the expense of some of Dee's reps, then yeah, but I don't think you just relegate Gordon to the bench. They need him to have a chance at catching the Nats.
Matt Kemp
3:43
Any market for this guy? He has been decent of late.
Jeffrey Todd
3:44
Nothing we've heard talk of. But you can imagine it happening if SDP eats a lot of cash -- which they probably would do. Issue is that there are a lot of other corner OF trade candidates, and most don't have complicated contracts to work out.
Matt Shoemaker
3:44
Because the Angels farm system is a joke and the team has too many overpaid vets. Taking advantage of a seller's market could drastically improve their future.
Jeffrey Todd
3:45
If they got a truly outstanding offer, then sure. I'm not saying they shouldn't be willing to listen.
Matt R
3:45
Now that they have Chapman, are the Cubs going to regret trading Dan Vogelbach for Mike Montgomery?
Jeffrey Todd
3:45
Don't see any linkage between the moves.
Real Royals Fan
3:45
I've heard a rumor that the Royals are negotiating to get Hosmer's contract extended. You hearing anything?
Jeffrey Todd
3:45
Good luck, KC.
Noah
3:46
Is Lucroy worth the Indians giving up Frazier or Zimmer? Perhaps if Jefferies or Smith is involved as well?
Jeffrey Todd
3:46
I think he has that kind of value, particularly if there's a nice kicker, but I'm not sure if Indians will do it.
Bill Lyons
3:46
Miller for Turner straight up?
Jeffrey Todd
3:47
It would be very hard for Nats to give up Turner. He's actually a really useful guy right now -- they need the depth with CF issues and now Drew injury, not to mention Ryan Zimmerman not being great (could use Murphy at first). And he remains a major piece of the future.

Gallo and lower prospect for Bruce?
Jeffrey Todd
3:47
Too much.
Julio Teheran
3:47
Anything new to suggest I may be traded??
Jeffrey Todd
3:47
Nope.
But I'm sure everyone will have a chance to yell at each other about him at some point in the next few days.
Dexter FoulBall
3:48
Will the qualifying offer value continue to get higher and higher forever?
Jeffrey Todd
3:48
It rises with salaries, so yes, unless we have deflation.
Jose De Leon
3:50
Do I make my MLB debut this season?
Jeffrey Todd
3:50
Yes.
No more closers
3:50
Isn't the market too high for closers? It seems that to get one you have to invest heavily and they do wear out pretty fast generally. Not always that valuable in playoffs / series.
Jeffrey Todd
3:50
No.
Detroit Tigers
3:50
Mcann, Burrows and Hill for Lucroy does that get it done?
Jeffrey Todd
3:50
Hell no.
Josh
3:51
Be truthful, but did you realize Lucas Harrell was still pitching? I had to look it up because I didn't believe that....
Jeffrey Todd
3:51
I am blessed to be aware of the goings-on of players such as Mr. Harrell.
Flick
3:52
How do 3+ team deals get off the ground?
Jeffrey Todd
3:53
Team A knows about desires of Team B. Team A also knows about desires of Team C. Team A and Team C agree on value of players, but don't want to make the deal. Team A brings in Team B to make it work for everyone.
I believe this is a Dr. Seuss book.
