Good question but too detailed for this ... send it in to the mailbag on Monday night!
Joe
2:27
Seager for Bregman and Martes Who hangs up first?
Jeffrey Todd
2:28
Seager is all but untradeable at this point. Not that Bregman looks to be anything but money.
Realistically that's an unrealistic trade scenario.
Big Papi
2:28
Will the Red Sox pick up buchholz's option?
Jeffrey Todd
2:28
Leaning yes!!!
Grayson
2:29
Why wouldn't mark Trumbo get Chris Davis money? They are both one dimensional players, power, low on base per. , awful (if any) fielding ability and a somewhat limited track record.
Jeffrey Todd
2:29
His overall batting numbers aren't on the level of what Davis did in his 2 big seasons. (Plus he was overpaid.)
The A Train

Thoughts on Aaron Judge's struggles?
Jeffrey Todd
2:30
Not atypical, esp with a big sluggerish type.
Scott the Mets fan
2:30
What are the chances Flores gets a starting gig next year and hits 20 hrs with 75-80 rbi.
Jeffrey Todd
2:31
I don't care about the RBIs, but the total offensive package suggests he is capable of regular playing time. NY can use him at third, second, or even first, or move him around.

Should we trade for Sale?
Jeffrey Todd
2:32
You want to give up all those young players you just got? It would take a lot of them since few have established themselves in the majors.
I'm of the opinion that it's far to soon to think the Braves slate of young talent is ready to compete. Much still to shake out there.
2:33
Plus they whiffed on Tebow.
Todd Jeffrey
2:33
Sandy says Tim Tebow is strictly a baseball move. What does your BS meter say?
Jeffrey Todd
2:33
It is worth a shot, I guess.

Could the Angels consider bringing Peter Bourjos back this offseason considering they will probably be thrifty again?
Jeffrey Todd
2:34
Lots of other guys who'd be just as likely.
Some Guy

Predict largest contract given this winter (Free Agent)?
Jeffrey Todd
2:34
Yo seems a pretty easy choice to me.
LQ
2:35
Should the Giants do a full rebuild? They need a power hitter and pitching!
Jeffrey Todd
2:35
Absolutely not.
Bob the Builder
2:35
Do you think the Tigers sign Wilson Ramos?
Jeffrey Todd
2:35
Get in line, man. If Tigers and Astros are chasing, maybe $100MM isn't so crazy. His market will be pretty broad.
Jason
2:36
Will Ryan braun trade get re-visited in the offseason or is puig off the table now that he's hitting homers again?
Jeffrey Todd
2:36
If they move Puig, they'll probably want market value. If that is higher than it was a few weeks ago, price will presumably go up.
Super joe
2:36
who would be interested in carlos beltran
Jeffrey Todd
2:36
More or less every team in the AL.

Mike Napoli is having a very good season, and has been very instrumental in helping the Tribe lead the AL Central most of the season. So, should the Indians hope that he can repeat his prowess next year, and make a QO to Nap, or let him walk?
Jeffrey Todd
2:37
It is a tough call. Thing is, if Napoli gets that offer, he might want/need to take it. He wouldn't be more than a 2-year player anyway.
2:38
Most analogous situation, perhaps, is Adam LaRoche. Turned down Nats when the QO was what, 14-ish? And then signed for 2/25.
Not Rizzo
2:39
What are the chances that the Strasburg contract turns out to be the worst of all time?
Jeffrey Todd
2:39
You're always taking that chance with pitching contracts. But it was a solid baseball contract when made.
The true worst deals of all time are those that were ill-conceived from the outset.
Tebowing
2:39
Okay, but let's say he can figure out how to hit professional pitching. If he does that he's basically Pedro Alvarez the way the scouts described him. Don't you think .05% is a little low?
Jeffrey Todd
2:40
See that's just the thing ... Pedro Alvarez has more raw power. Has played baseball his whole life, including professionally for quite some time. I think that's a very generous comp for Tebow.
2:41
Why should we expect that Tebow can adapt his athleticism to hitting pitches, when research shows that reacting to something moving that quickly is only possible through constant repetition over years and years?
Anyway, no more Tebow. We shall see!
