With a youth movement underway are my Oakland Athletics a winning team in 17' or under 500?
Jeffrey Todd
2:39
I'll take the under, though who knows what the winter will bring.
J
2:39
Regardless of the teams results, do you believe that this will be John Gibbons last season with the Blue Jays? Seems like Shapiro is doing a complete overhaul
Jeffrey Todd
2:39
Seemed to be set up for that with his contract situation. But if they win the east and go deep, perhaps things could change.
Cubs Talk
2:40
I think I will take a knee to protest these questions !
Jeffrey Todd
2:40
That is your right.
Bob
2:40
Brendan Moss- QO and does he accept ?
Jeffrey Todd
2:40
No for me.
LT
2:40
Can Jim Johnson get a multi year deal this offseason?
Jeffrey Todd
2:41
Yes.
Mike
2:41
At the same time Daniel Murphy may not have had the same output in NY as he has in Wash.
Jeffrey Todd
2:41
Of course. It's all hypothetical.
Matt M
2:41
Should the Phillies look to sell high on Cam Rupp and Hector Neris because of their lack of track record?
Jeffrey Todd
2:41
Not really. Other teams are aware of their past and can scout them just the same.
Jays Fan
2:42
What do you make of the hiring of Ben Cherington?
Jeffrey Todd
2:42
Seems like the kind of personality that won't have trouble with not being the #1 guy, and he's obviously a good talent evaluator. Seems like a big win.
Connor
2:43
Would you give Saunders a QO?
Jeffrey Todd
2:44
Only if you're okay with the risk he'd accept. Jays have a large enough budget and have the need for an OF to take that risk -- much like the Astros did last year with Rasmus. But it's a tough call for the team and for him, if it's given.

I had my questions about the Matt Kemp trade. Just seeing the impact he has had on this line-up has been amazing for the Braves. Are you shock by how much he has transform this line-up?
Jeffrey Todd
2:45
I don't really ascribe to the idea that he has transformed the lineup. Thought it was a fine, pretty limited risk to take that made some sense for them.
Sighern

Heyman predicted a 4yr 100million deal for Cespedes....that seems low?
Jeffrey Todd
2:45
When did he predict that? Yes, that sounds low.
JustAsking
2:46
Do the mets trade d'arnaud and sign one of those useful catchers you mentioned?
Jeffrey Todd
2:46
Hmm well that depends upon their internal assessment of him. From my perspective, I'd rather add a sturdy veteran to go with him.
Dan Duquette

Zach britton sinker ball is the best pitch in baseball? True or false
Jeffrey Todd
2:47
Hard to argue. He is pure filth.
Cindy
2:47
Martin Prado a QO?
Jeffrey Todd
2:48
Lean no.
Squintz
2:48
Cubs will have Arrieta, Lackey, and Hammel out of contract after next year with few reinforcements from the minors. Free Agency for pitchers looks...bad. What about a Schwarber + for Quintana and a Soler + for a guy like Odorizzi for the Cubs with them then buying another bat in free agency? A Cespedes-Almora-Heyward outfield with those 2 pitchers keeps the team relatively young and lengthens the window to compete.
Jeffrey Todd
2:48
I'll simply this rather than getting in the weeds ... wouldn't be surprising at all to see Cubs looking to trade for a starter with some control this winter.
AGC
2:49
biggest contract this offseason?
Jeffrey Todd
2:49
Yo
Bob
2:49
Are TLR and Dave Stewart still in Arizona this time next year?
Jeffrey Todd
2:49
I'll guess no.
Matt Holliday
2:50
Should the Cardinals let me walk, QO or try and sign me to a 2 year deal?
Jeffrey Todd
2:50
Work out a cheaper deal. Maybe something with a rolling vesting clause like the Utley/Ortiz contracts.
LT
2:51
Biggest non-Yo contract this offseason?
Jeffrey Todd
2:51
I'll guess Edwin.
OHHH so there were new juicy details on the Padres medical situation. Hadn't seen that.
I take back what I said above. No opinion, haven't read up on it yet.
