I'm aware of that. I was just stating what I know about managers from a labor perspective.

Does losing McLeodd affect the future success of the Cubs?
Jeffrey Todd
2:56
Well, if (when) that happens, I'm sure they'll be just fine. But it's like any other setting where creativity and experience help. If run correctly - which it seems to be - more talent is better.

If they Angels trade Kole Calhoun what pieces do they look for in return? Not necessarily names but, quality of talent and positions targeted.
Jeffrey Todd
2:57
I just don't see it. That's creating a new hole and taking away a quality, reasonably affordable player. I get the thought, but I struggle to see how it would work unless they are also doing other moves toward rebuilding.

Do Nationals not get into a bidding war for Ramos?
Jeffrey Todd
2:58
I don't know. I guess if they really didn't want him for anything more than a pretty danged discounted rate, maybe they don't value him at what the (expected) market is.

You said Ubaldo would never be good again.

Whoops. Man he is frustrating. Need to jot down a note not to predict anything about him until he is retired for several years.
Even then, though, who knows?

Will you miss Vin Scully?

How did it take this long for someone to ask about Vin?!
3:02
I am going to try to put my feelings on that into words at some point. If they are insufficient - which is likely - then I will keep it to myself.
He is just remarkable.
BTW Matz is being scratched with shoulder soreness.
So.

Not to rub it in but I did mention several times before the year that the health of the Mets starters after a huge workload was something to watch. Ouch.

let's see...that's five Braves questions...for like the 15th week in a row.

So sorry. I haven't noticed any that were answerable on the Reds, but I'm all ears.

England here! Surely the Red Sox go for EE this offseason? Do you see DD making a big trade and giving up some of the farm again?
Jeffrey Todd
3:05
Excellent. I have been to your land several times and always enjoy it.
I do think EE is a good target, and not just b/c they have been tied by others.
As for trades ... DD has a track record of being willing to do it, and he just shipped out Espinoza, so sure. Just a matter of where the need is and what the FA opportunities are.

Will Nats pickup Gio's option?

Ok folks I hate to cut out but I need to run.
Have to somehow figure out how to move into my new house tomorrow. Ugh. Don't buy a house.
Thanks for chatting!
