Had Jo Adell’s stock fallen far enough that he could be had for a decent reliever or utility bat this month?

Longtime chat favorite Jo Adell has been crushing Triple-A pitching, so I don't think the Angels are likely to sell that low on him.  Adell's stock has certainly fallen since his top-prospect heyday, but not that extent.

With the Angels likely targeting pitching, it makes sense that Adell would be included in a package deal, maybe even still as the headliner for an arm

Are we reallly this bad?

I admit to some bias on this one, since I've been down on the White Sox for the last few years (even when they were a playoff team) and have been unreasonably optimistic about Detroit, even picking them to win the Central in 2022.

But with this in mind, for some reason i still feel like the Tigers have a shot at the division but the White Sox seem done to me.  Even though just a couple of games separate them in the standings and Chicago even has a better run differential.

Who had Mets in 4th on the 4th of JULY ?

Even scarier for Mets fans....they're only three games ahead of the Nationals.

How good can I be?  5 for 5 with 4 doubles and 3 runs tonight. What’s my ceiling and how the heck did I turn it around after looking so lost last year?

We say this all the time about prospects, but you should never write off a player after just a couple hundred plate appearances.  Especially in this era where a lot of minor leaguers (including Duran) lost an entire year of development in 2020, which may have impacted them in any number of ways.

With Chapman signaling the beginning of trade season, do you see more domino’s falling within the next few weeks or was this a rare early trade and most will happen on deadline day?
Mark P
9:45
Most deals will still happen closer to deadline day.  The Chapman deal was a bit of an outlier since the Royals were pretty openly willing to deal earlier, and even the Angels' moves were unusual (and wouldn't have happened if they hadn't been so hurting for infield depth)

We're close to the two-hour mark, so let's wrap this up.  Thanks for all the questions, and we'll be back hopefully next week for more chatting (though possibly on Saturday, since the draft is Sunday).
fyi, if you're interested in more baseball Q&A, one of the many benefits of our Trade Rumors Front Office subscription is the exclusive weekly live chats. The more limited field means you're about 10 times more likely to get a question answered, as opposed to battling for space with hundreds of other questions in today's chat. For more on our memberships, check out this link:
