Bader will seek out a one-year pillow contract, with the intention of bouncing back and getting a better long-term deal next year

Kiermaier had a very solid season and stayed pretty healthy, albeit with the Jays being careful with managing his playing time.  A two-year contract somewhere seems likely, probably on a grass field since Kiermaier has publicly talked about wanting to play grass after spending his whole career in Tampa and Toronto

Would Yamamoto and a trade for Soto, plus signing him to an extension, be the off-season the Giants need? Could send Whisenhunt and a lower prospect for a year of Soto since an extension isn’t a guarantee.

It has to be a concern at this point that he might not be "normal" again.  Hopefully an offseason of full rest and rehab can get Buxton back to the point where he can at least be a part-time outfielder.

Stroman, Hendricks, Steele, Taillon, Smyly, plus Assad in the wings.....that seems like reasonable depth.  The Cubs just stand pat, however.

Not sure there's any shortage of hard feelings between the Brewers and Mets right now, but I like the thinking.  What a cool trade this would be.

Not a straight one-for-one, but basically a one-for-one with a couple of spare parts thrown in on either side

Hey, a Jo Adell trade rumor, haven't seen one of those in a while!

The Jays say no, since Manoah was a Cy Young candidate just a year ago and Adell hasn't done anything at the MLB level

Texas seems like an obvious landing spot for Hader that it'll take a while before I consider other teams.

As for the Cubs, Alzolay looked good enough as closer. Chicago will go after bullpen help in general, but the ninth inning seems set.
