As a White Sox fan, at first I was thrilled with the haul we got for Eaton. But the more I read, the more I think we got snookered. Should we have insisted on Robles, too? Maybe thrown in Robertson?

There's still upside in those arms, and at worst you've probably got a back-end starter and a closer. But it could go south. Really a question for scouts more than anything.

Don't love the fit, myself. Doesn't seem like a particularly Klentakian guy, either, not that he's put down much of a record yet as GM to base that off of.
But he seems more into grinding out ABs, OBP, etc.

I still think he's an appealing 4/5 outfielder in the majors b/c of the D/baserunning.

On paper the Rockies actually look like a good team. If they get a bounce back year from a few guys in the pen and relative health they could be down right scary. Your thoughts?

I don't know about "scary." If they have a few breaks they could be a rather good team. Not a ton of upside that I see in the rotation. And typically, for every bounceback you end up with a bit of a slide somewhere else.

Yeah, closer comp there as to how it ended up.
I mean, I think it's a fantastic deal for the Phillies. Not saying it isn't wise for Odubel also, but that's a really nice price.
Lots of upside, and worst case, you just shrug and move on.
