Not really. Lots of smart people running orgs.
Braves

I saw a rumor that the Braves could offer Adonis Garcia and a prospect for Todd Frazier. Any truth to this?
Jeffrey Todd
3:24
I mean, who's the prospect? Garcia has minimal value.
3:25
But the Braves could look at Frazier, I guess, if he could be had at a really light price.

What about the Indians getting a LF instead of a 1b in case Brantley has to DH..
Jeffrey Todd
3:25
I think they should prepare in case Brantley isn't really fully available. That's why I like the idea of multiple, flexible pieces.

Travis Wood and Colby Rasmus to the Phillies?
Jeffrey Todd
3:25
Plausible.

Cozart to the Padres, better than paying through the nose for Profar?
Jeffrey Todd
3:26
Neither should be hugely expensive -- Cozart only one year of control, Profar still laden with risk. Not sure Reds will sell low enough on Cozart to do that.
Wow. nice deal!

Source: Odubel Herrera’s 5-year contract guarantees him $30.5 million. Options for 2022 and 2023, too. Delays his FA by at least one year.

Indeed.

I see Parra as a great bounce-back candidate (assuming he gets abs). What are your thoughts?
Jeffrey Todd
3:29
Decent bet to return to being a solid player, but I wouldn't expect the 130 OPS+ he ran up in the first half of 2015.

I'm calling it now pablo Sandoval will be a MVP candidate this year. Write it down.

Do I get any bullpen help?
Jeffrey Todd
3:31
No reason he won't. Lots of options out there. Don't see why they can't land multiple guys on short-term deals.
3:32
Important to remember that at some point, veterans who don't land on contenders in the first round of signings will prefer opportunity to the chance to play a minimal role on a winning team. CIN can offer up late-inning roles to better pitchers, or guaranteed deals to lesser guys who'd settle for MiLB pacts elsewhere.

Worse contract Werth-Nationals or Pujols-Angels
Jeffrey Todd
3:33
Easily Pujols. Werth has been about as valuable (in my memory, at least) at half the cost.
Michael Saunders
3:34
Do you think I can get more than 3/36?
Jeffrey Todd
3:34
Never really did, especially don't at this point.

Since this guy felt the need to say this 57 times ...
let's see how the pitching holds up!
3:35
But on paper, yeah, still the best in baseball. But they're still playing baseball, so who knows?
