While Schanuel performed respectably well last season, it was absolutely an act of desperation by the Angels in promoting him so quickly.  The organization is so eager to finally win that they're looking for quick fixes rather than real lasting answers.

They're objectively not bad, but I just wish the Phillies would go back to their old logo and the burgundy/maroon color.  Eight-year-old me thought that color was really cool!

As much as Trout seemingly feels it would be "the easy way out" to ask for a trade, he didn't entirely close the door on the possibility, and his non-answer about Arte Moreno's spending was pretty telling.

In short, I think Trout will probably ask out at some point if the Angels can't turn it around.  It could be that he's just more focused on staying healthy for a full season, for the time being.

Webb, Hicks, and Harrison are the only pitchers who seem like rotation locks.  Unless Winn and company are really doing well, the Giants will no problem finding room for the injured guys.
