Still seems steep to me. I mean, Robertson is on a market-value deal and showed real issues with the walks last year.
WBC 26

I never got a answer, never.
Jeffrey Todd
3:08
There you go.

Glen Perkins has felt familiar catch behind his left shoulder & won't throw off mound on Friday as his recovery plan had targeted.
So that doesn't sound great.
O's
3:08
givens brach oday and britton make the best bullpen in baseball right?
Jeffrey Todd
3:09
Could be. Let's see if Brach can keep it going, O'Day can stay healthy, and Givens can keep developing.
Cookie Monster
3:09
Romo is going into the rotation?!?!?! I didn't see that!
Jeffrey Todd
3:09
Whoops. Well, you all know what the questioner meant.
Dealing Dave
3:10
Think the minute a 2B goes down in ST Gennett will be shipped out?
Jeffrey Todd
3:11
It's possible, sure, but he's kind of a gap-filler for a contender.
Why a Duck?
3:11
Does MLB Trade Rumors actually have a brick and mortar physical office somewhere?
Jeffrey Todd
3:11
Home is wherever I'm with you, dear readers.
3:12
(No.)
(Unless you count Tim's house or something, I guess.)

Can we be done answering questions on bird? A challenge you to answer 5 questions on a guy who will make less of an impact than bird this year.
Jeffrey Todd
3:12
See, that was my point!
Thanks for your added Bird question, though.
The Toe

Robertson for Severino. It's inevitable.
Jeffrey Todd
3:13
Makes more sense if Nats get Wieters, and depends what they really think about Severino, but that seems more plausible.

Can you keep the chat going for another hour so us folks in Denver, CO don't have to go out into the 68 degree weather for a while?
Jeffrey Todd
3:13
I miss Denver so much.
Wil Myers
3:13
I seem a bit underrated among baseball minds. If I'm with LAD, BOS or NYY am I then considered a phenom that's come back from injury to become a superstar vs. an injury prone Padres first baseman?
Jeffrey Todd
3:14
Sorry, the output just wasn't that great for a 1B last year.
With the wheels, Myers is in Hosmer land. Not a prototypical first baseman slugger, which is fine, but also just not all that exciting.
Sterling, VA

I live in Sterling! Nice place

Born and raised.
Actually not born, just raised.
Curly_W

If the O's have a bad first half, does Britton become available?
Jeffrey Todd
3:15
Feels like we always talk about this sort of thing w/r/t the O's and then they are never in position to sell.
But yeah, he should be if they really aren't in position.
Mlb trade rumors
3:16
We think we need better chat people. You answer the same question 10 times a chat.
Jeffrey Todd
3:17
Well, I'm trying. But there are a limited number of pressing issues right now.

Brewer fan here, I feel the projected stats on Thames coming back to MLB are overblown, thoughts?
Jeffrey Todd
3:18
Inevitably going to be a wide error band for projections on a guy coming from KBO. And of course that's just an effort to gauge his talent; there's still yet more room for fortune and injuries and whatnot.
3:19
But I think the team knows it's taking a bit of a calculated gamble. It's not hard to imagine him really not working out, or turning into a really solid value.
Okay I have to go shortly ... couple more repetitive questions first.
Curly_W

Over/under the Nats and O's work out the MASN broadcast revenue dispute by 2020.
Jeffrey Todd
3:20
It'll be resolved somehow before that point. Or at least partially resolved for past years, with more negotiating/fighting for the future.
Hunky Dory

Why are people critical of your chatting, Jeff? Like they can demand a better person to answer trivial baseball questions for FREE on a Thursday afternoon?
