Have you heard of any teams interested in Brian Wilsons comeback?
Jeffrey Todd
2:51
The knuckler-friendly Rays were mentioned as a possibility by Marc Topkin.

You mean to tell me that if Theo called Hahn and offered Happ, Eloy, ++ for Q that Hahn would say no?
Jeffrey Todd
2:52
I don't recall saying that. Sounds like a competitive offer they'd have to consider.
CUBs WIN!!!
2:52
Do the Cubs try hard to resign Jake or is going to ask for to much money and become a free agent?
Jeffrey Todd
2:53
Believe Heyman floated 4 years as their possible stopping point, which I see as having no chance of resulting in a deal if true. (Don't quote me on that, working off the top of my head here and it wasn't framed as a strong report, anyway.)
I expect him to test the market.

Any chance Conforto takes the RF job from Bruce this spring?
Jeffrey Todd
2:54
I mean, teams rightly value flexibility. Bruce is owed a lot of money to be a lefty bench bat on a team that doesn't need one with LHH corner OFers and 1B. I'd be surprised if he just straight takes his job this spring. Mets surely know that there could be injuries, and also that things could change relatively early in the season.

recently saw a ranking that had SFG coming in at 4th in the division. I understand its just 1 persons prediction, but i could see it happening. How about you?
Jeffrey Todd
2:55
Hardly impossible, but I can't see any reasonable way to predict that unless you are just really, honestly bullish on the DBacks and Rockies.

Did Mike Trout get picked 3rd in that fantasy draft because his team finished below .500?

the Nats would want more for Norris than Doolittle? Seriously???
Jeffrey Todd
2:56
Either you read that wrong or I mistyped it. The opposite.

Andrew Miller now throwing a change/screwball that looks filthy. Is it even fair? Seriously did he need to improve anymore?
Jeffrey Todd
2:56
If it works, no, not fair. Just wanted to respond to this to say: Andrew Miller is so money. I interviewed him for the podcast and he was just a great dude, too. Big fan here!

Preferred convention for listing the prospects on each side of a trade?
Jeffrey Todd
2:57
Roughly, MLB players first if they are a substantial aspect of the deal. Then, prospect ranking with level of advancement as a tiebreaker. Really, ad hoc.

What do you think of all the move the Orioles have made the past week? Improvements for a strong postseason push?
Jeffrey Todd
2:58
Nothing stands out as really moving the needle for me. I mean, Bourn can spell Jones in CF, which might be nice. But I'd be surprised if he has much left and they already have two strong lefty platoon bats in the corner spots.
I'm not bullish on the O's, though like the Royals they keep proving everyone wrong, so who knows?

Could Villar be on the block? I saw the thing about a posible extention, seems he could be more valuable as a chip than with an extention, especially if it only covers his arb years

MIL is rightly looking for value. Dangle him in trades but don't just sell him for whatever you can get. Propose a team-friendly extension scenario. I suspect he'll be available at the deadline if he plays well and there's demand, though again they won't need to sell for less than full value.

Can joe smith or JP Howell revert back into their back of the bullpen ways?
Jeffrey Todd
3:00
Seem like limited role relievers at this stage -- which, hey, we all get old.

What do you think Lobaton is worth on the trade market, if the Nats go that way? Thanks.
Jeffrey Todd
3:01
Not much. Seems they are inclined to move Norris, mostly b/c they want to shed his salary I'd guess.

Cardinals not going to the playoffs again this year?
Jeffrey Todd
3:02
I'll guess they don't - losing Reyes doesn't help - but they are among a handful of teams that ought to be solid WC contenders. There is some upside on the roster, so I'm not trying to be dramatic here, but it wouldn't be a shock at all if they fall short of the Cubs while teams like the Mets & Giants take the WC (among other possibilities).

Any chance Reds could swing a deal for Quintana if I were to include Robert Stephenson, Billy Hamilton, and few other solid prospects.

Norris to COLORADA

Norris to COLORADO?!! They need a starting catcher!
Jeffrey Todd

Sure, I could see that. Though the Rockies ... you just can't predict the Rockies.

Would Fister be worth a chance for the O's? 1/4.5 with performance incentives?
Jeffrey Todd
3:06
I kinda think the O's could use another starter, but they don't seem to. Could just be posturing, though -- not like they don't have a penchant for late moves.
