Chances of Astros signing Kikuchi? Seems risky to rely on “arms coming back” given the past two years.

Surely the Astros loved what they saw from Kikuchi, and I'd consider a re-signing to be fairly possible.

Whether this fits into Dana Brown's view of a "creative" playoff plan remains to be seen

Who do you have winning the padres vs dodgers series

I like SD's chances.  The Dodgers' lack of pitching will come back to haunt them.

How can the Brewers rebound from a brutal post-season loss and (presumably) losing Adames? They will need an infielder, most likely at 3rd
I assume Williams is no longer a necessary luxury after this post-season. Can the Brewers get value for him that can immediately help the team?
Mark P
9:55
One might've thought the Brewers would've taken a step back after losing Burnes and (basically) Woodruff last offseason, so I'd learned to not count the Brew Crew out.  Like I wrote earlier, Ortiz can step into the SS role, leaving the Brewers to perhaps seek out another infielder for third base or maybe Tyler Black gets a longer look.

Williams' club option will be exercised, and his rough game against the Mets notwithstanding, he's still a pitcher with plenty of trade value.  With just a year remaining before free agency, he'll be another Brewers player that might well be in another uniform by Opening Day.

Is Salvador Perez a hall of famer?
Mark P
9:59
He'll have a big narrative case for being a Royals cornerstone for (probably) his entire career.  But, going by fWAR, he is surprisingly low on the all-time list of catchers.
If I had a vote, I'd lean towards no

I could have helped my team win the World Series. Why didn't I play this post season?
Mark P

The O's would've liked nothing more than to have had Holliday be a productive piece of their playoff roster, but the fact that he wasn't very good as a big leaguer.

Can Torres and/or Verdugo avoid a pillow contract with a big playoff campaign?
Mark P
10:02
I don't think teams will be too swayed by a few October weeks ahead of several months' worth of sample size.  Granted, Torres did hit a lot better over the last few weeks of the season.

Time to wrap things up for another week.  Thanks for all your questions!
