Jeffrey Todd

But I think they value him highly and would draw lots of interest. So it would be a big price.
Tim Lincecum
4:30
No love for me?
Jeffrey Todd
4:31
In what way? I mean, I'm rotting for him. Hard to expect anything at this point, though, isn't it?
rotting, rooting, whatever
Beisbol
4:32
Is Preston Tucker actually in there to compete for a spot for the Braves, or is it just a wash/depth move?
Jeffrey Todd
4:32
I like the move. He's a kinda interesting guy. They could use him as part of the mix and hold down Acuna.
4:33
For me, there's just not a lot of justification to pushing Acuna up on Opening Day for this club.
Fred
4:34
makes sense to me but DID SFG THINK OF IT U THINK ( Longo at 5/60 and give up Arroyo when you could maybe sign Cain for a bit more and give up draft value? )
Jeffrey Todd
4:34
I'm sure they did and that there are reasons it didn't work. Not like I expect I have better insight on this than the SF front office. Just floating ideas.
Bobby
4:35
you planning on answering my questions?
Jeffrey Todd
4:35
Get in line.
I mean, really, there's a very long line, sorry.
Can't answer them all, not even close.
Dooduh
4:37
Come on.  Yankee rotation is surely good enough to win.
Jeffrey Todd
4:37
I did not suggest otherwise, did I? Question was about the rotation standing alone.
Yankees obviously already look like a strong team on paper. And as I stated previously, I don't think they are finished.
Billy Eppler
4:38
am I done for the offseason?
Jeffrey Todd
4:39
Have to at least add some relief arms, if not consider another starter. Figure out what to do with Cron, too.
Curly W.
4:39
Who's your favorite baseball writer, present company excluded?
Jeffrey Todd
4:39
Roger Angell
4:40
I mean, he's alive and writing (at 97!) but obviously not an active beat writer or anything.
Okay folks I'm going to grab a few more and then will have to take off ...
Dennis
4:41
Whats your gut feeling on the Phillies putting together an offer for a "controllable" SP like its been rumored?  Do you think Cesar Hernandez, (Altherr, Herrera, Williams) and a minor league prospect would get it done depending on the SP?
Jeffrey Todd
4:42
I don't think that kind of bulk return is going to get a really top pitcher but it would have value and would help make sense of the Santana signing. It's always tempting to look for guys on a roster that seem like pieces you could part with and imagine how they can turn into something better. That's the ideal, of course. But doing it is hard. Usually it has to hurt.

JDM for 5/125? Over/under?
Jeffrey Todd
4:43
Still take the over.
Nick
4:43
I gave you 2 chances. Both chats you cover the same few teams. Guess I can skip your chats now.
Jeffrey Todd
4:44
Someone go back and check for me. I'm really curious to see which teams I haven't touched upon at all.
(don't actually waste your time doing this, ha)
Matt
4:45
Do you think the Cardinals are done with big moves for the offseason? Is Colome still a likelihood?
Jeffrey Todd
4:45
Seems Cards and Giants both just made first of several moves. Likewise, Yankees.
There is so, so much business left to be transacted.
In the Cards?
4:46
I have heard zero chatter on Lynn.  Any news?
Jeffrey Todd
4:46
Guys like that won't necessarily sign first unless a few teams jump up and try to get them early. Seems he's more likely a fallback for teams that can't get Darvish or Cobb or strike a trade.
Halo Heaven
4:47
Upton, Kinsler, Ohtani and Cozart....should I expect dessert is coming?
Jeffrey Todd
4:48
If you were my child and had just gorged yourself on such a feast, I'd look at you with a disappointed face, advise you not to be greedy, and pat your head with a smile.
Strained analogy? Perhaps.
4:49
If "dessert" means like some other surprisingly quality/affordable player, I'd say not to expect it so much. Likely filling in remaining needs for the most part.
MarlinsMan

Do you know who I am?
Jeffrey Todd
4:49
Ha, at least you have firmly declared yourself to a utterly useless.
