They'll ask for Robles. Question is if they'll settle for less. Do they like Fedde? Severino as a Realmuto replacement? Might Joe Ross be ascribed real value? Or do they just really like Soto such that they wouldn't focus on pitching? Shrug.

That feels steep for 3 years but I think Phils would be players on a short-term/high-AAV situation of some kind.

Well he'll be 33. But ... supposing another phenomenal season, and assuming teams will want to pay more annually for a shorter term, it's probably not inconceivable he could command 20 mil annually.

Guess I wouldn't rule it out. Not sure what the end game is for Reed. Is he holding out for a 4th year? Not sure why he hasn't signed but the interest is surely still pretty broad.

Only if he frees up b/c the Nats add another outfielder. But something that ends with a trade involving Taylor is still the most interesting possibility for their winter.

Occurs to me: MT could conceivably be of value to Marlins in a Realmuto trade.

You know, like the good old days of the early 2000s. I'm talking Raul Mondesi at SS, Bubba Starling at CF, Hunter Dozier at 3B, Alex Gordon in LF, Jorge Soler / Brandon Moss DH, Jorge Bonifacio / Paulo Orlando RF, and Ryan O'Hearn or Frank Schwindel. Uggh, my stomach turns just thinking about it. With Kennedy and Hammel in the starting rotations we'll be giving up homers for days just like Lima Time!
