Seems you are making this proposal based in large part upon getting rid of assets you don't want. That's not going to net you a quality return, generally.

Not to say Travis won't have some appeal as a bounceback guy. But it's hard to imagine a deal that simultaneously sheds Morales and returns a "quality infielder", unless there's an awful lot of young talent also involved.

Without knowing the full context ... that's a ridiculous conversation even to have, since both are pending FAs and the O's are out of contention, which is the only reason they are going to be dealing Manny in the first place.

This is why we always caution not to buy in too hard to hot/cold starts to the year. There will always be some streaks, they just stand out more when the starting point is 0-0
