He was filthy last year, too, and the way a guy is pitching right now is particularly relevant for relievers in this day and age. Most importantly, 2 more years of control.

A second baseman should be able to play first base pretty easily. Nats used Murphy there already.

How often do you think real GMs look at “top 100 prospect” lists? 0% of the time, right? It feels like they are for the fans only

But real baseball peoples' assessments do influence the composition of those lists, b/c the prospect folks are talking to them as much or more than they are making their own, in-person assessments.

Is that really what I said, though? He doesn't hit lefties historically and is still riding an inflated BABIP. I just don't see him as a guy that contenders will target with intentions of playing every day.

I don't hate the Reds, I'm just giving honest assessments. I will acknowledge it if the Reds manage to turn Gennett into a quality, established young starter.
