Beltre's salary is much higher, so he's a tougher fit. Want the Rangers to hold onto the money? Then their ask goes up.

See no reason to think he'll be traded. Atkins's recent comments seemed to make that clear to me.

Something, yeah, but I'm not expecting a ton. Is a contender going to see him as a postseason rotation guy? I don't think so. In that event, he's mostly going to be a dude who helps fill out a rotation and is then seen as a possible multi-inning reliever in the playoffs. Not a huge amount of value in that.
