That's not how you do rebuilding trades. Have to get the best value back, regardless of position.

I am tearing the cover off the ball why wont the Jays find a spot for me?
Jeffrey Todd

You sure he's fully ready in every way for the majors? He has very little time in the upper minors. They should be patient.

Will this year's trade deadline be like the MLB Free Agent offseason (dead)? So few teams contending so far fewer buyers.  Would that indicate trading might be done earlier in the season than usual?
Jeffrey Todd
4:13
Actually I think in many ways the way the season has developed thus far suggests a lot more competition than expected. Some teams have risen and some anticipated front-runners are limping along. Could be a very active deadline, though of course things could still separate out over the coming months.

My kids are always bringing stuff home and my neighbors have a ton of bamboo in their yard, so ...
But no, I have no idea what this comment is about either.

Braun for Desmond and Cash? Brewers use Des in the middle IF. Braunie can play 1B or OF instead of Desmond.

This is a Brewer fan trade proposal? If the Brewers were to propose this trade, I'm sure the Rox would oblige.

Since the chances of keeping Betts and Bogaerts are very slim, would a trade of Betts and Bogaerts to some team work well for them for the future?
Jeffrey Todd

I feel at times that perhaps there's so much attention on front offices and the hot stove game that we have lost sight of some things. A team like the Red Sox doesn't need to be thinking about getting back young talent for these types of players, unless they are in a losing position. (As the sox and yanks have both done in recent years.)

Cincinnati #Reds President of Baseball Operations Dick Williams today announced the promotion of Nick Krall to General Manager.

I get that business has to go on, but I'm sure the timing of this announcement will lead to it being ridiculed a bit.

I live in Roanoke. Was raised in Sterling.

I'm sorry but the games evolution has made it less entertaining.  I'm sure I'm in the minority but I'd be all for lowering the mound and deadening the ball.  What say you?
Jeffrey Todd
4:19
I do think finding a way to get the ball in play more often is necessary.

Hamels.  Tell me it's Hamels to the Phillies.  What's the prospect cost?
Jeffrey Todd
4:20
He could make sense, actually, b/c he's so expensive. Phils can probably mostly absorb cash and not give up significant future talent.

I don't think it would take that and I can't fathom the Braves would do it.
You all have no idea how many Braves questions there are!
Okay I have to run. Thanks as always, talk next week.
