Friedman, the Dodgers' president, may be able to get Betts for less than expected because of a shortened/canceled season. Betts is elite, so I expect the Dodgers to try hard to keep him.

Think you're wrong on suspensions, or at least the articles at the time of the original agreement to delay contradict you; ESPN for example reports (https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/28962850/mlb-mlbpa-agree-stipulati...) that drug suspensions will be served in 2020 regardless of games, and the Astros GM/Owner will be reinstated in 2021 for sure per multiple articles.

Hmm. I don't have time to read through that now, but my understand has been that guys like Luhnow and Hinch will be allowed back next season no matter what, whereas players will still have to serve their bans. Maybe my memory's incorrect. Will have to read it over when this is done.
