Adell is a consensus top-five prospect in baseball.  Those are the types of players that teams project as superstars, and aren't traded away lightly.

Who in the name of the great white north is going to play CF for the Jays? Right now its gotta be Grichuk with Guriel in LF and Hernandez/Fisher in RF doesn't it?  Not wild card or even .500 worthy.  No CF's in system worth noting either.
Mark P
10:05
Grichuk/Hernandez seems like the plan for now, with Fisher perhaps getting some time and maybe Alford if he's still in the club's long-term plans.  Biggio might even get some CF action if the Jays plan to mold him into something of a super-util type
But you're right, none of these are exactly great center field options

The Mazara trade gives us options for next offseason. If he doesn't get that "change of scenery" boost, we let him go. Could we get Mookie or Springer?
Mark P
10:07
The White Sox have shown this winter and they'll spend money, and they showed last winter that they're willing to go into the $250MM district to land Manny Machado.  It'll probably take more than that for Betts but Springer wouldn't be quite as expensive, so he'd be the likelier target of the two

Odds of Chris Davis being released as a sunk cost or a phantom DL placement to free up the roster spot this year?
Mark P
10:09
Seems like Baltimore will give Davis one more year to see if he can even remotely turned around.  If not, he'll be released

What is the possibility of Farhan making a deal for Price plus prospects or any other deals to take on bad contracts/bounce back candidates while stocking up on prospects?
Mark P
10:12
It depends on how much Giants ownership is willing to spend on "dead money" type of veterans in order to get those prospects.  Not to say that Price specifically (or even Cozart, if he can finally get healthy) is just a salary dump, since he should be a good pitcher in 2020.

Why haven’t the Nats resigned Ryan Zimmerman? Will they?
Mark P
10:13
The general consensus has been that Zim will be back on an inexpensive one-year deal.  Now that the Nats have gotten their other infield business settled, I'd guess Zimmerman will be signed before January is out
Ronald Acuna

Top 15 player this decade?

I'd imagine so

10:15
What would it take for me to land Merrifield and Tim Hill? Could I do it without sending Puk?
Mark P
10:17
(David Forst = Oakland GM)

The Royals want a huge return for Merrifield, and even something significant for Hill, who's a good controllable reliever (if not a spring chicken, Hill turns 30 in February).

So the A's would have to shell out some major prospects to get those two away from Kansas City.  I'm guessing the Royals would insist on Puk and multiple other pitchers back

What's the latest on ozuna, and where do you think he will sign?
Mark P
10:20
The Cardinals' trade makes some room for Ozuna back in their outfield.  I've thought all offseason that an Ozuna/Cards reunion wasn't happening, but now might be a legit possibility.  The Rangers and Reds are also known to be in the mix, but Texas is also looking to Castellanos.

What do you think the likelihood is of Senzel being dealt for an impact bat? Do you think it would be a mistake?
Mark P
10:21
Reds would only do that for someone in the Lindor/Seager elite class.  If you're getting back a great player like that, it's hard to call it a mistake, even though Senzel has a done of potential.  Then again, nothing about how the Reds have handled Senzel has made a lot of sense to me, so who knows

I'm looking  forward to Madison Bumgarner this year

You get one FICTIONAL baseball player’s jersey, who you choosing?

Outstanding question.  A #8 Dottie Hinson Rockford Peaches jersey

Would it be possible for the MLB to help facilitate a move of the Rays franchise to a larger market such as Charlotte or New Orleans? Would it not greatly benefit the MLB to get the Rays in a market where they would be fully appreciated?
Mark P
10:26
Unless there's a lot of progress between the Rays and the city of Tampa/St. Pete on a new ballpark, the Rays will absolutely be playing somewhere else by 2028 (when their lease at Tropicana is up)
Chicago Law
10:27
Absolutely NOT can you be a fan of both the Cubs and the Sox!!

How is there not an NBC show called Chicago Law?
Dexter Fowler
10:28
Do you see me waiving my no trade clause to move to a different club?
Mark P
10:28
I don't see Fowler agreeing to join a non-contender, so that narrows the field of trade possibilities
Keibert Ruiz
10:30
Do I ever put on a Dodger uniform or are my days in the organization numbered?
Mark P
10:30
The Dodgers are very wary about moving top prospects, and Ruiz fits that description.  Don't forget, it was only a couple of years ago that Austin Barnes was the Dodgers' next big catcher, so L.A. surely wants to give Will Smith a longer look before they think about moving Ruiz

Mark, why do you say “no” to Mookie being traded at this point?  BoSox’ end or potential trade partners’ end?
Mark P
10:32
I think Boston will explore and all other trade possibilities before moving Betts, since they still want to contend in 2020

Will Ryan Braun play out the rest of his contract with the Milwaukee Brewers?
Mark P
10:32
2020 is the last guaranteed year, so I'd say yes
