While I am against the big MilB cut in principle, there are some truly terrible stadiums that don't draw any significant fan base. Perhaps there is some middle ground to be found?

I don't disagree that some cities can't support minor league teams, and some stadiums are desperately in need of updated facilities.  But slashing so many teams based (seemingly) more on market size than quality as an affiliate seems incredibly short-sighted

Probably not.  A minor league deal for the Panda isn't going to make or break any big roster plans, and neither would a low-cost MLB deal for Pence.

It can't be that high, given his rough 2019 season.  But by that same token, would the Braves want a player coming off such a season?  There's bounce-back potential in Carpenter, but if I'm Atlanta, I might just let STL deal with that risk
