"Even the guy who can't think says something"
Cardinals
6:21
When do you think we will see Dylan Carlson? O'Neill and Fowler have impressed so far but Bader has struggled, granted he had a double yesterday
Connor Byrne
6:22
I expect him up sometime this season. Teams have to go about a week w/out their prospects before calling them up in order to preserve service time. We're just about there, though I haven't seen anything indicating a Carlson promotion is imminent
Johnny Blade
6:22
What happened to the Yankees Vs Jacob Ellsbury dispute?
Connor Byrne
6:23
Good question. Radio silence there for a while.
Rob Manfred
6:23
True or False - MLB gets thru all 60 games + post season this year?
Connor Byrne
6:24
I sure hope it's true. But my optimism, which wasn't that high to begin with, has faded.
Blue Jays fan
6:24
Are people sleeping on the jays? They look pretty solid to me
Connor Byrne
6:25
I pegged them for high 70s in wins when the season was supposed to go 162. A similar pace to that during a 60-game, 16-playoff team season could be enough. Whether it's this year or in the near future, though, they'll be back in contention. Lots of talent there.

What's wrong with the Nationals?
Connor Byrne
6:27
I'm not digging their grave after one week, and they've been hit hard from corona/injuries (Soto, Stras are on the way back). That said, they obviously can't get off to a similar start as last year (19-31). Better snap out of it soon.
Gleyber Torres
6:27
At least I get to play my favorite team the Orioles tonight!!!
Connor Byrne
6:27
Gary Thorne won't be happy

Michael
6:28
Do you see the Braves sign an unsigned free agent starting pitcher like Danny Salazar?
Connor Byrne
6:29
Salazar's not someone I'd be counting on in their shoes, considering the constant arm problems. Then again, there's not much to count on in FA outside of him. Off the top my head, guys like Buchholz and Cashner are among the unsigned vets. Meh.
Markakis
6:30
I thoughts once I opted out I could not get back in
Connor Byrne
6:30
Apparently not.
Cy young Marquez
6:31
How about the Rockies starting pitching so far? The pen has been lights out too. Could we finally be seeing this young staff turn a corner?
Connor Byrne
6:32
I really like Marquez and Gray. Skeptical of Freeland Senzatela, but maybe Freeland can put last year behind him and turn back into a solid starter (if not a Cy Young contender again)
Freeland and Senzatela*

The reds are in trouble already...
Connor Byrne
6:33
They're making me look great for picking them to win their division. However, in fairness, Moose and Senzel were out for their first handful of games. Still bullish on the team's chances.
Eric Hosmer
6:34
I noticed when looking at his batted ball data that he is elevating the ball a lot more to start this season, which has been his nemesis his whole career. Could he rebound back to being a
Connor Byrne
6:35
I noticed it, too, but the sample size is too small to get hyped. If it's real, though, Hosmer may yet begin to justify that contract (one I've nonstop bashed)
Mr.baseball
6:35
Will trout opt out after his kid comes ?
Connor Byrne
6:36
Not picking on you, but I get a lot of questions predicting who will opt out. Who could know that except the player and those close to him (e.g., family)?
Concerned reader
6:36
For a site that would largely benefit from the mlb season continuing, you guys sure seem to be on the negative nelly Cruz side of things. Can’t we just enjoy the game while we can
Connor Byrne
6:38
I am enjoying the games, but the reality is that this season may be difficult to get in. I hate saying it because we all love baseball & the coronavirus has already had a hugely negative effect on this site.
George Kontos
6:38
Where is he now?
Connor Byrne
6:38
He retired last week to join NBC Sports Bay Area as an analyst
They ain't pitched in Coors yet
6:39
Pump the brakes.
Connor Byrne
6:39
Fair point, though guys like Marquez and Gray are good just about anywhere
The ghost of silvio martinez
6:40
For the first time since the 6th inning of his 5th game ever 19 years ago, Albert Pujols is no longer a lifetime .300 hitter after 10677 bats as one. A little sad? Or no big deal?
Connor Byrne
6:40
A bit. He's not been good for a while, but will be remembered as an all-time great regardless. And that HR off Cortes last night was fantastic to watch.
Prellerorbust
6:41
No one is taking notice to the Padres pitch selection. They're taking more walks than they ever have in a series and look patient at the plate. Can we get some love?!
Connor Byrne
6:42
Second in BB percentage after finishing 18th last season. Early, but encouraging.
CubbieBlue
6:42
How are they going to realistically going to be able to finish an abbreviated season if games continue to be postponed when 1/2 a team tests positive for COVID?
Connor Byrne
6:43
Exactly what worries me (and lots of other people).
John
6:43
Sonny Gray sleeper cy young?
