I've written this before in chats, but Zaidi inherited a very unenviable situation with a lot of expensive veteran contracts that were seemingly untradeable since almost all of those veterans were coming off poor years.  So far, the Giants have quietly just tried to add as much young talent as possible through drafting, trades, and constantly perusing the waiver wire, and so far they've made some good additions

It's true, I don't see them as contenders in the next two years at least, but thus far Zaidi hasn't made any real wrong steps in my view

Do you think that with the extra time that we could see more extensions than usual?

Maybe some, perhaps in cases where the two sides were already pretty close to an agreement.  But overall, there's now so much uncertainty that I'm not sure teams or players would be willing to make long-term plans until more is known about what's happening with the 2020 season (or society in general)
